Do you feel it's worth it over a 1080 and please try to be honest...

Lets be honest, people always buy things they don't need. Saying that, selling my 1080 for say nearly £500 then adding a extra £200, im happy enough. The problem i have now is now i have it i might put it on water which is... going to zangief power drive my wallet

anymore confirmations that the afterburner tweak works for voltage control on the 1080ti ? Afterburner works for me but no voltage slider. EVGA 1080ti FE (obv.)

I have tried the tweak but no dice.

exactly, need and want. also, i am on 3440x1440, and i switch between PC and TV screen (which i might update to 4k) so the extra performance is nice. Also as a motion graphic designer and self employed i will put some of it towards 'work' ;)

So after a weekend of overclocking your 1080Ti`s what do lads think, worth it or not.
Well the FE cooler is not cut out for overclocking - but we all knew that anyway. The card will easily do 2 GHz but the fan is too loud once it gets beyond 55%. At 55% it cannot keep temperatures under control to maintain the OC boost. However, I am more than happy with the gains I get at stock, which will hopefully be plenty for my 1440p gaming until Volta Ti. I imagine ultra wide and 4K gamers will need custom cards to chase down that extra 10% though.

I'm looking forward to getting mine, fell out of love with SLI some time ago and have been wondering about going back to a single TXM. Now going single Ti and have a block on the way for it.

Just got confirmation from EK that they are releasing a single slot Waterblock and a backplate specifically for the 1080 Ti. Should be released first or second week of April!

From a 980ti hybrid to this @ 4k I'm quite pleased. Even though it was an impulse buy. I'll murder whoever put that they are released at 6pm. I went through the dream of buying and did the basket etc and forgot there is a card linked to the account. I thought it would stop at payment details....but I got order confirmation. Never have I pulled a card from a case so quickly and got that on an auction site. Sold it for a fair price.

Boosts stock to 1860Mhz and a simple OC ( I CBA to get every last Mhz out, nor am I very good at it) at 2000Mhz with temp of 69 degrees in a room @ 20 degrees. Had a hybrid before so obviously noisier than that. I play with headphones so less of an issue to me. Haven't had a air cooled card for over 1yr so cant remember what my previous 7990 was in comparison.

BF4 Everything max except no motion blur and it hovers around 90fps. Forgot how nice BF4 looks. Finally go back and play FarCry 3&4 @ 4k with better gfx settings.

I had buyers guilt but that disappeared once I sold the 980ti. Overall pleased with the card and the performance.
