It'll be related to some statistic - either people tend to prang i8s more than GT4s, or they are targeted/stolen more....something like that. Possibly location based as well.

Is there something wrong with my car?
I drove with the windows down today as I left my food bag in the car overnight so it didn't smell too fresh, anyway...when driving, I noticed that under acceleration, when the car changes gear I get a small hissing sound which I'm guessing is normal because of the blow off valve, but when I apply a heavy right foot, I get a constant hissing sound. It sounds like someone is letting air out of a car tyre, that kind of noise, surely it's not normal to always be doing it? You can't hear anything when the windows are up

Can you feel a lack of power? Turbos make a number of noises, not all good.

I've not really had a chance to properly test it as this was just driving on the ring road, but on my short bursts of acceleration to try and reproduce it it seemed absolutely fine

It's definitely coming from the engine bay but whether or not it's the turbo, I'm not sure. I'd check all the clamps on the hoses and pipes from intercooler and BOV are all tightened properly.
As per my thread here, I ordered a 520d SE Auto Touring yesterday - brand new outgoing model for just over £28k. It's going to be a work car, mainly going up and down the motorway carrying dog biscuits in the boot and the odd journey around town.
It's probably a bit late to ask but have I made a decent decision?

You can kind of hear it to give you an idea of what I mean. In the middle you can hear me put my foot down and let go straight away and it still happens. Window has to be open to hear it hence the wind noise.
And no I'm not holding my phone lol it's on a goose neck stand on the drivers door arm rest

First joy of BMW ownership.
FTM, ABS and Traction control all pinged up warnings so I guess an ABS sensor has gone. I then hit a pothole and managed to bulge the sidewall of the tyre.

Took my key for service check too £660 for oil filters and plugs. Doesn't need plugs though and I'll take oil. Got to keep that BMWFSH really
