What "man jobs" have you done today?

Made a raised bed out of 4 sleepers. Hid the screws with some dowels, planed the tops, gave the visible bits a quick sand, lined it with plastic and gave it a coat of osmo UV oil. Quite pleased with it. Before anyone points out that it's not level, it is, my neighbors garage wall isn't quite level, and neither is the raised bed to the right (not built by me!).

There's a guy down the road from me that has a few huge lengths of wood that size outside his back gate in the alley. They've been there for ages and i keep hoping to catch him to try and see if he wants to get rid of them.

Yeah, the womble within is constantly spotting bits of wood or pallets when I'm out and about. I usually just knock on peoples doors and ask, they always say to help myself and are usually pleased to be rid of it!

I decided on Friday to remove the plaster and lath from the bathroom, starting completely from scratch before the re fit.

Do not ever under estimate the amount of debris and dust this job produces !!

Scraped some moss off some slabs (no power washer ) and turned over a border in preparation for planting some box hedging this afternoon. Will probably shift some sand in preparation for some slabs later on as well.

Impressed with facebook trading groups, managed to give away half a ton of gravel this morning to various people! Saved me getting a skip, I had no idea it would go so fast!

i finally got enough soil through the house to put an advert up, within 3 days half of my sacks have gone and all but 10 out of the 150+ have all gone to 1 person who is driving on a 1 hour round trip to collect it all, he's coming back next week to take the rest no skip hire for me

It's amazing what people will take for free or even buy on facebook, I got a chap to come round and collect a massive stone window cill that was heading for a skip and someone else took the rotten sashes from my windows!

Just done this myself. Lime came off easy enough (using the spade technique). I began pulling the wood off one at a time but quickly realised going all hulk on it would get the job done in a fraction of the time. As to the mess it all makes... You know you're in trouble when you have to bring a spade to a decorating party.

Gaaa you underestimate how long decorating takes. Especially when you always seem to be busy!

Nearly finished painting the back bedroom. It was re-plastered and I am finally onto painting the final door. I don't want to look back at how long it has taken with a few hours here and there commitment.

Miller - What are the hooks for on top of the table?

Front one is to take some of the strain off the headphone lead. The previous pair had cables pulled out from the headphone end - and they weren't a cheap pair.
Back one for is a rubbish bag

Not me doing it but having my driveway done, it was about 20 year old tarmac and grass, it was all uneven and worn away and the grass was a mess, it had some shrubs, bushes etc in random places.

also had two fences put in, one of them (the tall one) because it backs onto a neighbours garden which is a dump and we had 3 ft panels in before so was very visible. Not anymore

its about 11 x 11 meters ish, it will be fully block paved

we are having new tarmac put in at the front (path side)

nope, i have a 160ft garden lol, green means work.. I will possibly put some plant pots out (big ones)

yes we have some drainage near the door going in all the way alone to past the gate (where the water runs)

do i need greenery??...
