I didn't think Sam really knew about Jon until Bran mentioned it. He just knew that Rhaegar and Lyanna were secretly wed.
...and all that's needed is for the white walkers to die and then the magic they use to reanimate the zombies dies with them. Considering how few WW's there are they are actually highly vulnerable.Fire is the best weapon for the wights.
What am I, your personal assistant? Check it yourself you lazy sod.
Valyrian steel and obsidian are NOT especially effective against wights, but they are against the Walkers.
Fire is the best weapon for the wights.
The Tormund/Dolores Ed scene taken straight out of Monty Python's Life of Brian "Sure we must be united against the common enemy!... The Judean's Peoples Front?!?... No No the White Walkers!... Oh yeah, yeah...."

So do we know what in Valyrian steel makes it so good against a walker?
I agree - there was a huge amount of interactions.I thought it was a decent intro to the series — they certainly packed in a lot of the various storylines and started bringing them all together.
I can't believe that after seven series, people are still moaning about 'filler episodes' — that's what GoT is all about!
arya saying sansa was the cleverest person she knew was the most baffling comment ever. unless "cleverest" means "whiny little trollop" in Northspeak or something.
Did anyone else think the Dragon Ride was a tad daft?
The green screen was flaky too...
Exactly. Littlefinger was poison in the veins of Westeros. Getting the better of him took a bit of doing... though Stark women were his kryponite, so maybe he was heading for a fall no matter how 'clever' Sansa was. She survived Joffrey and Bolton as well, but only because she was of strategic importance.I'm going to assume Arya's comments are related to Sansa's maneuvering around little finger,
I am a bit perplexed though, if the night king knows the future, why does he even bother?
