That picture is one of about 3000 random spawn points. If you go to them long enough you do get some unusual spawns & even some rare plans. As per below a map & some detailed info on them they are so random & because 3000 it will take a long time to find all the useful items!

I've got that map bookmarked already. I've also got the object-only version of it bookmarked, since it's plans I'm seeking.

[..] So...that's what I'll be doing tomorrow - stalking random event spawn points.

That's what I'm using the map for. Although it turns out that I have already learned the trapper torso, arms and legs plans.

I wasn't sure if the twister of nuke mines was intentional or a glitch. There are a...few...glitches in FO76 :)

I've made of list of the things I haven't yet learned. First the basic plans for armor pieces, then plans for mods for weapons and armour. The mod plans will be random or SBQ only, so here are the armor pieces plans I am missing. If you know how to find any, please let me know.

Armour Plans Not Learned
Plan: Heavy Metal Arms
Plan: Heavy Metal Legs
Plan: Heavy Metal Torso
Plan: Heavy Raider Arms
Plan: Heavy Raider Legs
Plan: Heavy Raider Torso
Plan: Heavy Robot Legs
Plan: Heavy Robot Right Arms
Plan: Light Raider Arms
Plan: Light Raider Legs
Plan: Light Raider Torso
Plan: Light Robot Arms
Plan: Sturdy Metal Arms
Plan: Sturdy Metal Legs
Plan: Sturdy Metal Torso
Plan: Sturdy Raider Arms

Plan: Undershirt & Jeans
Plan: Vault 63 Jumpsuit
Plan: Vault 94 Jumpsuit

has this game been changed much by the devs since release?

How much is much? :)

It has been changed quite a bit in various ways. For example, PvP has been almost entirely moved out of the main game and into the Battle Royale mode. If you turn pacifist mode on and don't become wanted, you can't harm or be harmed by another player. Co-op multiplayer events have been added (although a few extremely specialised players have managed to solo them even at the highest difficulty level even though it's not meant to be possible). Those events ("Vault raids") are pointless even if you do have an organised group of players, but it's a change.

Also, you can now see how many mods for a moddable item you know and how many there are. So you can know whether or not you've learned all the things! :) That's my favourite change, although I'm sure most players don't care.

There have been 13 large patches and a bunch of little ones. The big change is due in a month or so with a patch known as "Wastelanders" - they're due to try to make Fallout 76 more of a Fallout game by adding NPCs, dialogue, choices, factions. Who knows if it will happen on time and how it will work, but at least they're trying. The lore rationale behind it is that after the Scorched plague is ended, people start to wander into the area to settle. Or raid. So there are at least 2 factions. It's promising.

Visit my shop for some of those plans I have most of my plans for sale @ 76 Caps now (I had at one time all the plans you listed above for sale except the bottom 4) sorry not sure how many left now. You have to do specific events to get most of them or they are random drops as per that random 3000 spawn points (you get the civil war plans that way do a round robin trip around 4 specific random spawn points to get those plans):
https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/a84tc6/heres_how_you_can_get_all_civil_war_era_outfit/

I finally after almost 11 months grinding got the 450 Mr Fuzzy Tokens for the Mr Fuzzy Costume & Head. Its really ugly as they only let you have the soiled version (the clean version is part of the 0.003% drop rate items so effectively unobtanium!!). Yet another kick in the players teeth but Bethesda will get a taste of their own medicines soon as The Outer Worlds is 25th October & free to anyone with a Xbox Game Pass Sub on PC @ launch so as that's effectively a solo player Fallout clone by the developers of new vegas you do not need to be a rocket scientist (well if you work for Bethesda you probably do need to be !!) to see how many players are going to leave 76 around that time ;)

Cheers, I'll pop over if we're ever on at the same time.

Player vendor prices are weird because there isn't a real economy. For example, I'm selling The Spicy Tenderizers for 500 caps each. I think I have 1 left in stock. Yesterday, I was jumping around checking player shops for any plans I don't already have and I came across someone selling The Spicy Tenderizer for 12,000 caps. I wonder if they bought it from my shop.

I'm still running Windows 7, so no Xbox Game Pass for me. I'll have to make up my mind what to do about my OS soon, of course. I don't like any of the options, but I'll have to choose one. Also, something you pay a monthly subscription for is not free. I don't think many players will leave FO76 for Outer Worlds because I don't think there are many FO76 players left to leave :) I had to try soloing Meat Cook last night because there were only 4 players on the server!

Game Pass is free for a few months if you are careful you get 3 months for nothing just by choosing the right stackable plan! I got 4 months for £1 due to buying an AMD 3700X so either buy an AMD CPU or GPU & AMD have now changed it so you get the Outer Worlds as one of the free game choices to keep forever!

As for player vendor prices they are silly some players are trying to make as many caps as they can but they are worthless & just the dumb way to keep players coming back. I bought all plans, have most perk cards now & ned about another 9 Serums to have the full set!

I do have some of your wanted plans (as well as Ultracite jetpacks!!!) from your list so at the moment I am on in the mornings between roughly 7-9am & evenings 8-11pm so look for me online then. I noticed this evening Bethesda have removed the Survival mode completely from the menu now.

So if you spend £340 it's almost free for 4 months...that's not free. Nor is a limited time offer to get you into subscription free. Something you pay a repeated price for, over and over again, is not free. It might well be good value for money, but it's not free.

Also, Windows 7. So no game pass. At any price.

As for player vendor prices they are silly some players are trying to make as many caps as they can but they are worthless & just the dumb way to keep players coming back.

Like the ultra-rare plans for outfits and camp items. The former are useless with power armour and pointless without it (especially in first person, which of course most people use in this type of game) and the latter are almost useless because of the camp limits. I suppose I could get more caps from my shop, but I'd prefer to be a service. I do sometimes put rare and powerful weapons in one of my machines for hundreds of caps, but it's usually 50 cap plans and recipes. One some items, it takes ages to scroll the price down from a default 3000 to 50!

I bought all plans, have most perk cards now & ned about another 9 Serums to have the full set!

You've spent a lot more caps than me. I have the 1 serum plan I use (grounded - I don't use energy weapons so it's purely beneficial to me) and about a third of the PA plans. I've bought everything else than can be bought from NPC vendors, with the possible exception of some rare stuff from Grahm.

Have you checked all the moddable items on workbenches to see if you have all the mods? I did, for the "all the things!" mentality :) These the moddable things I don't yet know all the mods for. Formatting borked by copy and paste, but you get the idea. I used all my remaining screws crafting gauss rifles and handmade guns yesterday, got the complete set (47 mods) for handmade guns and within 1 for gauss rifle. I don't use either but hey ho, gotta catch them all! :)

I'm nocturnal at the moment, so I might catch you towards the end of your evening, which is my morning :)

I noticed this evening Bethesda have removed the Survival mode completely from the menu now.

A good choice - what was the point of it with Nuclear Winter mode as the PvP mode? Dropping it could put a few person-hours more development time into Wastelanders, if anyone running anything at Bethesda has any sense.

LOL..I just popped on, saw you were online and selected to join you. A couple of minutes later and the world loaded...and you weren't on that world. So I selected to join you again, with the same result. Then you were in the main menu, so I looked at another player's shop, checked again and you were back in, so I selected to join you...and you weren't there. So I checked again and you were offline :)

The server hopping mechanic that's so baked into FO76 has some disadvantages :)

Where is your camp nowadays, anyway? Maybe some day we'll end up in the same server and I'll be able to pop to your camp before you hop to another server.

Np did you see that twerp trying to initiate a fight LOL

Yes...in unpowered armour and using a Mr Handy saw. Against 3 characters in power armour with heavy automatic weapons. Why?

I suppose I could have turned pacifist mode off to kill them for the 10 atom points (I've never killed another player), but I didn't feel like it.

On the plus side, I just completed another of the "find all issues of a magazine" challenge. I have the perk on that beeps when a magazine is nearby and just search for them as I hear them. Got most of the magazines now.

I'm back up to 207 plans in stock in my machines. I'm very close to Flatwoods. You might find something you haven't already got there. A couple of Meat Week outfit pieces, too. You probably have them all, but you might get something new.

I'm using a two shot faster firing gatling gun I picked up yesterday. A useful thing from the Purveyor! There's a surprise. I only had to spend ~10,000 scrip to get one :)

Well there's a disadvantage to the ending of survival mode. The annoying ***** are back in the main game, roaming around seeking only to be an inconvenience to people playing the game. Pathetic, but you can't stop some people being like that. Someone just killed me because they're like that.

Have you found Awesome Tales #4 ?? as it does not seem to even be in the game anywhere!

I bought a plan from you last week for some meat weapon I think. I will have another look later today.

I am going to scrap my shops sooner or later need the budget for other things I want to add which I am out of budget for. So pathetic the low limit is purely so Bethesda cater to consoles & do not have to develop 3 different versions

I cba with scrip or purveyor anymore (60 scrips for a 3* right now apparently) every single drop I got was trolling me so poor quality they can shove their precious scrip  up their instanced vault 94s (another thing I cba with its excessive & the rewards are not worth the effort or resource).

Bethesda are in for a big shock when all the usual publishing suspects start releasing their big games in the next few weeks. 76 needed to be in a good state to maintain player numbers but its rapidly going in the other direction based on all the other content wastelanders is not going to make any major difference unless its exceptional!

No idea. I'll have a look later.

I bought a plan from you last week for some meat weapon I think. I will have another look later today.

I sold 46 plans yesterday. No idea what's left. Probably a core of stuff nobody wants.

One simple idea for Bethesda to improve player vending would be to give players a way of knowing how long stuff has been in their vending machines without selling. But that would distract from trying to get people to pay real money for crap from the atomic store. The overwhelming question at Bethesda is clearly "Why isn't FO76 Fortnite?"

I am going to scrap my shops sooner or later need the budget for other things I want to add which I am out of budget for. So pathetic the low limit is purely so Bethesda cater to consoles & do not have to develop 3 different versions

I'm much more content with my camp since I gave up trying to do anything much with it. You can't. Bethesda have chosen to make that impossible, so trying to do so is just a path to frustration. Just build a shack and be done with it. You've seen mine - it doesn't even have a bed. There's no sense of making a home in FO76. I don't even work in my camp very much - I tend to use Artisan's Corner in the Whitespring when I'm there to sell stuff anyway.

I cba with scrip or purveyor anymore (60 scrips for a 3* right now apparently) every single drop I got was trolling me so poor quality they can shove their precious scrip  up their instanced vault 94s (another thing I cba with its excessive & the rewards are not worth the effort or resource).

It's 60 scrip for a random 3*. Could be a melee weapon, could be leg armour, could be torso armour, could be a heavy gun, could be a pipe pistol...even more useless than the usual choice. I wouldn't bother with scrip if I had any other use for legendaries, but I don't. I only spend scrip when I have close to 1000 and that's only because 1000 is the limit.

Bethesda are in for a big shock when all the usual publishing suspects start releasing their big games in the next few weeks. 76 needed to be in a good state to maintain player numbers but its rapidly going in the other direction based on all the other content wastelanders is not going to make any major difference unless its exceptional!

If it wasn't for Epic's nasty business practices, I'd be playing Borderlands 3 now and until Outer Worlds came out. But I'm not going to help Epic make PC gaming a closed system with even more spyware while offering an inferior product at the same price, so Epic can go to hell. They won't get a bent ha'penny from me. I'll buy those games when they go on open release, if they ever do.

might reinstall this today, fingers crossed its enjoyable now

It's enjoyable as long as you don't expect a proper Fallout game and you have a high tolerance for bugs and crashes and people who get their fun from annoying other people. It seems that some people hate FO76 so much they've put a fair few hours into playing it just so they can annoy people who are playing it.

It's annoying because there is a Fallout game buried in the muck. The worldbuilding is first class. My guess is that the people who do the actual work are as good at it as usual and the problem lies with the people who make the decisions. Which, to be fair to the people running Bethesda, isn't them any more. They get their orders from Zenimax.

Update on this - yes, I have. I've just checked my "World" challenges section and I have completed these magazine ones: Collect an issue from different magazines (11/11), Collect issues of Astoundingly Awesome Tales (13/13), Collect issues of Tesla Science (9/9) and Collect issues of Unstoppables (5/5). I'm 1 or 2 off all the others.

I'm not server hopping or searching specific areas. I have the Pannapictographist perk on all the time and just hunt magazines down every time I hear them as I'm going around scavving or questing or whatever.

EDIT: Of course, that doesn't mean that issue is currently in the game. I might have found it months ago and it might have been removed since with a patch that adds new bugs or restores old ones.

Ah, ye gods and little fishes!

I just spent far too long on the vile tedium that is prepping to launch a nuke (it's not difficult, just extremely tedious) only to find that the code I found on a website for this week is wrong. So that's at least an hour down the tube because it's a one shot deal and quite frankly I don't think I will ever do that again. I'd like to trigger the scorched earth quest because I've joined in when someone else has triggered it and it seems only fair, but that bloody tedium would be bad enough if I could rely on it working. Since I can't, well, I'd rather do something less tedious. Like watching paint dry.

Awesome # 4 has not been in the game for at least 6 months or longer so you must have got it way back then. That is the last mag I need now. Cba to recollect them all for a display in my camp I would have to downsize for just to display them

The Outer Worlds you can buy right now on Windows Store @ £49.99 (MS bought the developer so its not likely to ever come to Win 7 now) if you do not want to buy from Epic but its Win 10 only I think. Easiest path for you to Win 10 is buy another HD buy a cheap Win 10 key (around £11-12 now online) have a dual boot system with Win 10 on the other partition.

Nuke Code mission always get the code BEFORE attempting it (they expire on Tuesday's I think mid afternoon UK time). Its easy really just perk up have weapons which melt robots (or hack them to fight each other is even easier!) & it only takes about 10-15 mins to run through the bunker & launch the nuke.
