My finding are switching to 60hz and temps, power consumption and clocks drop to normal levels, switch to 144Hz-165Hz and up it goes. Not sure if it is an issue as such as I've seen multiple reports of the same thing?

Think you quoted my reply to a different question I think the clock speeds are normal for high refresh monitors.Done this and the same result... PSU is only 5 months old, EVGA 650 P2. However switch to 60hz and temps, power consumption and clocks drop to normal levels, switch to 144Hz-165Hz and up it goes.

I'm working on that, setting up Windows to run off an external usb stick. Will see how that goes. The PSU must be 4 years old now.Only way to be sure is to do a clean install, only takes 15minutes (if you have a spare drive), then see if the drivers work. Have you tried a different display port cable/socket? How old is the PSU?
Noticed every time I undervolt my Vega 56, the settings revert to default upon restarting the computer. Any ideas? I have saved a profile but have to load it on each start up.
Sweet, thanks.
Just had a random black screen... tuned the monitor off and on again and the screen is back. hmmm....
Not had this issue since moving over from HDMI TV to a DP monitor thankfully. This used to be common for me when updating drivers or fresh installs.
I'm on a DP monitor, AOC Q3279VWFD8.
This was the first time, hopefully a one off and not the start of something.
Never had any of these issues you lot seem to get , Must be a Navi thing. Glad I went with the VII tbh
Im not sure whats going on but in drivers page it says this
