Trump was successful in business, if you look for videos of him before he ran for president he was also widely respected.

Why must someone be a career politician to run for president though? Biden has been in government 40+ years, was VP for 8 years and has done nothing of note besides get wealthy, suddenly he runs for president and talks about how everybody has been failed for decades and how he's going to fix everything if he's elected when he's been part of the problem. It's the same with the Democrats and taking for granted the black vote, every 4 years they campaign how they'll fix all of the stuff that they haven't fixed in decades of black people voting for them and then they're surprised when Kanye West is tired of talk and wants action.

I'd rather see a Terry Crews (President Camacho) though, he seems to be one of the few sensible people left.

I'm sorry what?? Trump has bankrupted several businesses. We have no idea how much debt he is in because he refuses to release his tax returns and his company is private. The idea he is some amazing business man is ridiculous. He inherited a fortune, the NYT tax fraud story, now we know it was his niece who was their source and supplied the documents that showed he and his family defrauded the US tax payer of millions of dollars. He has lied about his personal wealth for decades, even calling journalists pretending to be someone else and saying how rich and successful Donald Trump is  He is a successful TV reality star, I'll give you that. He's also a man who ran a scam university, what a guy huh!

He has shown himself to be the worst POTUS in modern history. Grifting from the US tax payer, in 3.5 years has spent 259 days at his golf courses, costing the tax payer over $135m, a good percentage of which went in his pocket. If Trump is the best the US has to offer maybe its decline is warranted. Call me controversial but having a POTUS with an IQ over 130 should be a given, I doubt Trump's is even close to 100.

Oh and who respected him exactly? He was known for ripping off contractors for decades, having an ego that is out of control, a pathological liar, cheated on every spouse, partied with a sex offender for years, numerous accusations of sexual assault and rape. Again, what a guy

If Trump is the new normal then yes Kayne West is presidential material and the US will deserve to lose its place as the most powerful nation.

Oh wow you fell down his rabbit hole with his bait hit and run post.
RIP :p
Your 'tds' really is shinning through with this post, outstanding comedy value. You may not like the bloke but seriously step outside every now and again.

And your TDF behaviour leaves a lot to be desired for ;).
We get it you like the bloke because he stands for everything you stand for. I mean there isn’t any other valid reason to like the guy is there??

Trump has bankrupted several businesses.
Still batting at over 95%-98% success in business. if that's bad I wouldn't mind that sort of success
The idea he is some amazing business man is ridiculous. He inherited a fortune
yeah he could only turn 14 million into a billion-dollar business, what a dolt
He has lied about his personal wealth for decades

even calling journalists pretending to be someone else and saying how rich and successful Donald Trump is
Why is that a bad thing? 'Brand' promotion is not a negative.

Strange how he appeared on the Oprah winfrey show a few times, they were total love ins. Same with numerous other high profile media personalities. All prior to him runing for president.
having an ego that is out of control
Rich and powerful man has narcissistic traits shocker
numerous accusations of sexual assault and rape. Again, what a guy
99% of which have come about since he became started to run for POTUS, given how sexual misconduct has been weaponised by the media and dems these should be treated the same as the rape allegation made against Kavanaugh i.e total fabrication.
From Vox for example (apparently on Klinck's acceptable media reporting list)
"During the 2016 campaign, Trump was sued by an anonymous woman who claimed he raped her at an Epstein party when she was 13 years old. However, several journalists who dug into this allegation back then came away voicing caution or downright skepticism, and the accuser withdrew her lawsuit shortly before the election."

Where do you even get that figure? He has numerous failed business. No one other than Deutsche bank will lend him money, what does that tell you about this successful business man??

$14m? you really are a sucker for "Trump truths" aren't you
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/02/us/politics/donald-trump-wealth-fred-trump.html

Donald J. Trump built a business empire and won the presidency proclaiming himself a self-made billionaire, and he has long insisted that his father, the legendary New York City builder Fred C. Trump, provided almost no financial help. “I built what I built myself,” the president has repeatedly said.

But an investigation by The New York Times has revealed that Donald Trump received the equivalent today of at least $413 million from his father’s real estate empire. What’s more, much of this money came to Mr. Trump through dubious tax schemes he participated in during the 1990s, including instances of outright fraud, The Times found.

In all, the president’s parents transferred well over $1 billion in wealth to their children, which could have produced a tax bill of at least $550 million under the 55 percent tax rate on gifts and inheritances that was in place at the time. Helped by a variety of tax dodges, the Trumps paid $52.2 million, or about 5 percent, tax returns show.

How is it opinion when he is on the record lying?

Why is that a bad thing? 'Brand' promotion is not a negative.

You think calling journalists while pretending to be someone else to try and inflate how rich and successful he was is normal behaviour? Not failing at businesses is the way to promote you brand.

Again several ex cabinet and high ranking WH officials have stated he's an idiot. He can't read long documents, according to his niece he had someone take his SATs because he couldn't get a score to get him into the collage. Does that sound like a high IQ individual to you?

Strange how he appeared on the Oprah winfrey show a few times, they were total love ins. Same with numerous other high profile media personalities. All prior to him runing for president.

Yeah and Jimmy Saville wasn't a paedophille because he was never charged or convicted

Honestly the mental gymnastics you do to defend a human being as bad as Trump.

He is a rubbish businessman. If he did absolutely nothing with his inheritance he would have more money than he does now lol. He only ever made a loss.

And the fact that he somehow managed to kill off a casino, when they literally are money making machines lol.
So how he managed to do that is beyond me in all honesty.
But yet you have the resident TDF crew defending him saying he’s a very successful businessman. Mind boggling mental gymnastics:p

I know how hard it is for you not to instantly disagree with this, but did you read much into the story first?

The whole story is filled with comments such as "there is a rumour of.........., under suspicion of............, we suspect......., it could have........." etc and very little factual evidence. Then there are lots of "statements" made of criminal offences yet made without evidence such as "He and his siblings set up a sham corporation to disguise millions of dollars in gifts from their parents, records and interviews show." and that this "represented a pattern of deception and obfuscation, particularly about the value of Fred Trump’s real estate, that repeatedly prevented the I.R.S. from taxing large transfers of wealth to his children." both of which are criminal offences, yet the Times themselves said that the IRS said "nothing wrong here" and none of the people involved are under any LEA probes.

Again, only the investigative team has seen the documents and interviews with no-one else, and the team hasn't made any information viewable to the public and that lack of oversight means that they could write anything, without any evidence, and use this big juicy story to sell lots of papers based on it. I mean for all I know it could all be 100% true, but we're long past the point where we should simply believe something "just" because a media source writes something which agrees with our viewpoints.

All media, left, right and central should be vigorously scrutinised when claims as "big" as these are made but that doesn't happen, and due to that lack of oversight far too much has been written by both sides and then later proven to be untrue for me to blindly accept a story of alleged criminal behaviour such as the one printed by the NY Times TWO years ago with not a single follow up story about any investigations into ANY of the criminal actively alleged in this story being carried out by any Law Enforcement branch. I find that very strange if the story had any actual factual evidence to it.

500 odd businesses that he himself 'started' or 'outsourced ' 6 or so filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, by all accounts a smart thing to do. Specifically regarding the 6 bankruptcies:
Experts told us Trump alone didn’t cause the bankruptcies. While six in 25 years is a lot, five were tied to a struggling gaming industry.

Trump was acting, they said, as any investor would. Investors often own many non-integrated companies, which they fund by taking on debt, and some of them inevitably file for bankruptcy, Adam Levitin, a law professor at Georgetown University, previously told us.

He added that people typically wouldn’t personally blame former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney or investor Warren Buffett for individual failures within their investment companies, Bain Capital and Berkshire Hathaway, respectively.

"In the mid-1970s, Donald received loans from his father exceeding $14 million (later claimed by Donald to have been only $1 million). This allowed Donald to enter the real-estate business in Manhattan, while his father stuck to Brooklyn and Queens."

Donald J. Trump built a business empire and won the presidency proclaiming himself a self-made billionaire, and he has long insisted that his father, the legendary New York City builder Fred C. Trump, provided almost no financial help. “I built what I built myself,” the president has repeatedly said.

How is it opinion when he is on the record lying?
2011 Forbes estimated his wealth to be 2.7 billion
2018 Forbes had it at 3.1 billion, dropping down 11 places to 259th richest in the country compared to 2017 - but hE is gEttiNig RiCher DuE tO bEinG PreSidEnt

You think calling journalists while pretending to be someone else to try and inflate how rich and successful he was is normal behaviour?
People didn't seem to mind his self-promotion according to this 2006 piece from ABC news, I wonder what has changed in the time
"calling journalists while pretending to be someone" - from my quick google, the only verifiable time he has done this was just after his divorce from Ivana and he was dating Maria Marbles, every other time is hearsay and rumor.

Again several ex cabinet and high ranking WH officials have stated he's an idiot. He can't read long documents, according to his niece he had someone take his SATs because he couldn't get a score to get him into the collage. Does that sound like a high IQ individual to you?
So your evidence is a $$$ book deal from his niece and a bunch of anonymous sources? Do you believe all anonymous sources or just the ones that confirm your biases?

Oh and who respected him exactly?
OMG he appeared on Oprah! Well clearly that's it close closed
lol

There's more than circumstantial evidence that good old Bill Clinton is a raging pedophile, this guy was a regular visitor to pedo island, I assume you will apply the same thought process to labeling him a kiddy fiddler for example rather than mixing in the same circles?

Honestly the mental gymnastics you do

It's very simple, Trump could just not, you know, do everything in his (pretty much unlimited, as it turns out) power to avoid publishing any documents that would back up his assertion that he's a genius, versus all evidence in the public domain that he's an idiot.

Regardless of how much of an idiot you think he is, that NY Times story is claiming that criminal offences actually took place, if you take their story as "fact" which Klinck is.

Yet in the 2 years since it was released not a single investigation into any of the criminal actives the NY Times claimed as "fact" has been started. Given the desire from so many to remove Trump I find it highly unusual that not a single local/state/federal LEA officer anywhere in the US has acted on the NY Times "factual" evidence, which is why I find it hard to believe the criminal aspects recounted in that story are actually true, and if those aspects aren't true, what else may have been made-up, exaggerated or over-stated to "sex-up" the expose and boost the sales.

I don't know how much is truth or lies in that story and thats the problem when the media, left, right and central, apparently start to make things up just to boost sales, rather than reporting factual events and proving evidence of their claims as good investigative journalists used to.

As I say, all this conjecture would go away if he wanted it to.

The fact that a justice system ultimately headed by Bill Barr, who is corrupt, and the GOP, who are corrupt hasn't found him guilty isn't really much of a defence.
