Nice, that has the same PCB as my Sapphire Toxic Extreme.nitro + se
I think @JediFragger had the 6800 XT version (non SE but same cooler) a while back.

3080 > 6900?Not bad.
Which model?
GPU or PSU? If it’s the former it might get better as you use it mate. Had numerous coil whine GPUs and they all get much better over time.@LtMatt card is in along with a new pay (hx1000) , unfortunately it’s got bad coil whine

In what scenarios, settings, and resolution and fps are you getting whine?
Using two cables? Try two different ones and connect them to different ports on the PSU too. A video recording would be good with more details and fps in view.Only tested when benching before going to the pub for the match. But it whines anything over 90fps and it stops dead as soon as the gpu looses load

Might need to leave it doing that a few nights if it’s really bad, or could RMA if it really is that bad.Aye, two different ones. Once I’m home I’m watching a movie with the oh. I’ll set up something to loop with high fps, see if it’ll break in

Ooh I’ll borrow my brothers uplay account tomorrowIf you have Far Cry 6 just fire up the menu screen it hits 9000fps (unless they have fixed it now) hour on that and it will be bed in.
Let us not be in any doubt, aside from Ray Tracing, RDNA2 is the fastest graphics processors around gentlemen.

it's gotten better over a few hours and hopefully another night of 300 fps+ in heaven will sort it.
A workaround is to limit fps to 75 (max of the monitor) and the GPU power draw drops and it calms (teenie tiny pops n stuff).
for @Kaapstad
Good suggestion for coil whine killing, forgot about that menu screen. If you have Far Cry 6 just fire up the menu screen it hits 9000fps (unless they have fixed it now) hour on that and it will be bed in.
I didn't measure it, but it would have been around 450W+. Max power limit was set to 525W, 425A TDC and 70A SCOD. 2162Mhz FCLK and 1266 SOC.For Timespy extreme at that high overclock what max power consumption for GPU only?
