Oh yes, remember coming close to getting one on import. Actually if I'm honest more so the Saturn because back no-one really knew just how lopsided the PSX-Saturn battle would become. And those early Japanese releases were more appealing.

But yea in PAL land you had to make do with reading EDGE for nine-months before you even got close to one (ignoring the fact Saturn did get a surprise early release that summer).
I was an Edge reader then as well. Looking at all those Ridge Racer screenshots! I just had to have that game. It was painful waiting!

Hoping this is a weird blip, connected my new DualSense Edge to the Pro via USB-C and turned it on, after a short while I was literally spammed continuouslywith messages that the Pro had lost internet connection. The Pro still allowed me to pair the controller and updated its firmware, so I rebooted the Pro, so far no further WiFi issues, fingers crossed.

Noticed Nathan Drake collection is on offer for £7.99, not played these in years, not sure how they hold up now, especially the first one. Anyone played them on ps5?
I played the first one not so long ago and recently started the 2nd one. I think they hold up well, obviously they look a little dated but it's still fun climbing and jumping around the environments and working your way through the puzzles, plenty of enjoyment to be had for £8.

First one has dated badly, imo ... not just in terms of graphics but also with some of the gameplay eg. shooting. The other two still hold up pretty well though.

edit. I picked it up on sale a couple of days ago ... saves me loading the disc ! Might sell it off for a few quid ; starting to offload my physical media in preparation for the inevitable digital only future ( on PS, at least ).

For anyone who plays it, The Finals has just announced that they're PS5 Pro Enhanced mode brings 120hz support!

Game is fantastic, one of the best shooters out there right now.

Also loving having the PS2 theme on my PS5 right now, properly takes me back.

I caved and bought the Pro. Didn't think I would, but the GT7 PSVR2 'patch' started it rolling, and the thought of how future games next year (GTA 6 ?) will absolutely take advantage, just completed the 'logic'.

I don't think it's worth it as an upgrade really at the moment, but I have faith and my daughter now has her own (non-pro) PS5 :D

To be honest, this is why I made the purchase, to give the daughter an upgrade on her PS4 Pro and for me to future-proof my setup. In reality, and having used it for 3 weeks, I would have been better off buying a nice OLED monitor in the black Friday sales, but hey, ho. I will no doubt get one of them soon, regardless.
