Been playing this recently. It is a very fun, fast paced game. I was wondering if there was anything similar to this one steam at the moment. Same kind of gameplay with achievements?

Mrs picked me up Astro bot as one of my Xmas gifts love it :)

Can see me getting the plat such a fun game!

I've just got this too. Really enjoying it.

I got Astro Bot for Christmas. Whilst it's good, I just feel a bit underwhelmed with it. I enjoyed Astro's Playroom, but just feel a bit indifferent about this.

Would certainly have been disappointed if I had bought it on release at full price.

Managed to pickup a ps5 pro for 550 new, meaning the upgrade will cost me about 300 after I trade in my OG PS5, even with disc drive it'll cost me less than the official RRP which was kinda my biting point. (Disc drive should be included in the asking price). As it is, assuming I pay official prices it's costing me 650 including the disc drive, which is expensive, but I think not unjustifiable given silicon prices rises the last few years. Still think Sony are being stupid ****s with this entire pricing structure and what's not included on the pro console TBH, but I can afford the upgrade, and will appreciate the extra performance; I was not willing to pay £800 for the package though; especially with the insult of the disc drive being an addon.
Just got to wait for the bloody disc drives to come back in stock now as not paying stupid eBay scalper prices.

Also picked up Astro Bot. Seems great fun, very much old Playstation platformers and Nintendo had a baby vibes lol

After I played more of it I'd agree. I don't think the music is as good and whilst enjoyable, not the same.
However, I do feel a large part of that is that playroom was my first experience with the haptic stuff and therefore didn't have that same wow factor this time.

Finding AstroBot a great game with some nice little nostalgic pieces hidden away, but as Noxia said some of these WoW factor has gone so I tend to only be able to play in short sessions, 1-2 levels at a time. But then I’m finding with gaming in general I’m feeling a bit melancholy with most things at the moment, but that’s more me than the games.

Playing it in short bursts is probably the best way to savour it anyway - if you sat down and played it for 8 hrs at a time you'd finish the game in 2-3 sessions. Very much a quality over quantity scenario ( which I'm not against at my stage in life ).

Started a new playthrough of Cyberpunk as I picked up the expansion during black Friday, put 90+ hours into my first run and still didn't see/do everything.

Enjoying playing through again, only 10 hours in but loving being back in Night City, and not even touched Phantom Liberty yet.

I’ve never been the best at platformers but just done some of the triangle void missions on Astro bot dam there a big spike in difficulty compared to well any stage before them.

Managed two of them and did try 3rd one with the breaking floors but left it now as I wanna chuck pad at tv so thought back to normal missions for now lol

Yup, I remember those void missions "fondly" lol. Several of them are very challenging ... but I completed them all in the end and got the platinum trophy.

Some of them are pretty infuriating!

Yeah they go out quick. You've got to keep at it, took me a week or so but I got one thanks to hotstock a few days ago, and I've had opportunities to grab more.

There seems to be a lot of stock dropping over the place right now, so hopefully that'll be getting in to the hands of the actual consumers and cutting the rug from the scalpers a bit. Ideally we want them to lose interest to they become easier to grab again.

You can improve the chances of getting the notifications quicker by ensuring the app is not set to sleep etc though

Hopefully, I know I checked one retailer this morning that had stock that hadn't been pinged on the app but it was like 200 miles away, not gonna do a 400 mile journey for a disc drive haha

Honestly it's a ballache, Sony really screwed the pooch on this one. Hopefully the sales and they're constantly being out of stock should however show Sony that enough consumers still see value in a disc drive that they don't try dropping it from the PS6

Eh way Sony is fudging the numbers on physical Vs PSN sales data and not supplying enough disc drives or even including one with said console they probably want this to be last generation with physical media, and unfortunately lot of people seem to have this hate boner for people who enjoy physical games
