I see there is some disc drives about as the prices on eBay seemed to drop somewhat this morning from the chancers asking £200 for one

30th Anniversary Dualsense Controller in stock direct from Amazon, £69.99. Dispatched and sold by Amazon, not a third party! Probably one of the last few batches held back by this store for this week's sale event.

Ordered a Pro with a disc drive via Very using the 20% welcome code.

I previously had an account. I called and shut it down then waited a few weeks and signed up again and the code worked just fine. Means a Pro with a disc drive for about £635 so not too bad, and took my slim to CEX for £299. So still an expensive upgrade but I figured this might be the last ever PlayStation with a disc drive? So worth getting I think in the long run.

The last PlayStation with a disk drive would probably be the original PS5 non-digital.

I recently got the Pro and am glad to see something of backwards compatibility library but it's still pretty sparse. Do we know if Sony is adding to it like Nintendo does to the Switch online stuff or do we think this paltry library is it?

I'd have got a PS5 on day one had the BC gone beyond just PS4 stuff... PS3 streaming is not the ticket either, still hoping for local emulation.

Nothing in the pipeline as far as I'm aware ... and I suspect that won't change given Sony are using PS3 games as an incentive for consumers to pick up a PS Extra sub. To be honest, it doesn't bother me as I sat out the PS2/3 era ( having owned a PS1 ) ... I was primarily a PC gamer back then so don't have any nostalgia for the games.

You can say Amazon just don't link to anything sold by OCUK. I could link to a Microwave on Amazon for instance but not a GPU. Don can correct me if wrong.
Basically correct.

(I'd just expand anything sold by OcUK to any product types sold by OcUK - e.g. so just because OcUK don't sell the specific GPU you want doesn't mean you can link it at Amazon.)
