Delta Force: Hawk Ops

Odd!

Just checked the folder for Delta Force and it's blank NO FILES. And it shows up as PRE-LOAD, that can't be clicked because it said it hasn't been released.

But I preloaded the game days ago! So are the files hidden and locked somewhere on the drive?
 
I'll look to sink some time into this later today. As I've a wife and a job I can't grind all the unlocks to try and be competitive :D What is the go to assault rifle so I can at least focus my limited time!
 
The kernel level anti cheat thing seems to be an issue according to steam reviews, haven't installed the game yet myself. Will keep an eye on it, my concern was the amount of cheaters and bots in the Alpha and Beta as it's FTP.
 
There were definitely cheats in Alpha and Beta but due to the TTK being so quick and no killcam it's easy for people to assume cheaters.

A lot of people also don't understand the armor and ammo system and go in with green gear whilst other players go in with purple. Green bullets don't penetrate higher tier armor so they land a bunch of shots which don't actually do much compared to the enemy using purple that goes through and kills in 3-4 hits.

I've watched plenty of streams where pro teams in red gear are getting hit by 'greenies' and barely suffer damage. On the flip side you can use white ammo and leg anyone in just about the same time since there is no leg armor (or arms but much more awkward to hit).
 
I played a bit tonight. Smoke... that really needs to be toned down a LOT.

Also, no idea why but I kept getting put into 200-300ms servers. :eek:
I thought the first time was an oddity, but each match I played it was in that range and the player names were of south east Asia type too. No idea why, but latency that high was nigh on impossible to hit anything :D
 
250fps but just endless stutters for me unfortunately, even on 30ms servers. Couldn't get a smooth game at all (14900k/4090). Game didn't feel good enough to bother troubleshooting and my little gaming group agreed so we all uninstalled. Genuinely thought the sound was bugged for me too but I suspect it might just be like that? Felt like so little feedback from actually shooting the guns, hitting enemies, getting hit yourself. Like the whole thing was in a bit of a bubble or something. Very strange. I hopped back into 2042 straight after and felt like I could blow my eardrums out with gunfire. Also the smoke. Jesus christ the smoke.. Maybe gonna give this one a few patches :p
