BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

250mm seems to be very wide?! Is that from the rear to the front off the oval stand?

Yes, that is the measurement of the base from the front to the back, the
monitor itself is 105mm at its widest point.[/QUOTE]

105mm from the front off the monitor to the rear without the stand? Just trying to work out much room its going to take on my desk. Thanks

Suitable for PS3?

I've searched the thread and can't see whether this is a good choice for a PS3 owner.

I have a friend who's son has a PS3 but we have no clue what specs to look for :)

Stand pushed back against the wall the screen face is 17cm from the wall.

Seriously , if you want to fix £250 worth of kit to the wall using 4 self-tapping screws feel free (I'm not quite sure if I should put a rolleyes in here or not :D).

Just use an m4 bolt with a nut/washer on the inside then, self tapping should be fine though.

Wooo! Mines arrived!

Its quality!!!

Gaming = great as well.

Highly recommended!

Good to hear :D

Ok got my monitor.

Its crap ...

:D

Hell no! ITS AWESOME! LOVING IT!

Wobble? WHAT WOBBLE?
Viewing angles are awesome.
Gaming at non-native resolutions are awesome.
Viewing por... wait you dont need to know that :D

One niggle.
The base. Should the neck of the monitor click into the base? Because atm, its just inserted into the base but I cannot hear any click or connection made between the base and the neck of the monitor.

Any other DGM owners shed any light?

Another question:

The buttons on my panel are pretty deep in the monitor. I mean I can press them but I really have to push the ball of my thumb against it. Especially the power on/off button.
Anyone else experience this?

Warranty Registration ?

Is there some special method to register for the warranty as the L-2442W is not on the model list on the warranty registration page ?

Other than that small problem I'm loving my new monitor :)

Yes. And it won't come out again unless you unclick it under the base.

Yes. Putting my thumb on the power button touches the surround and you need to push to get it to switch. I think it's good. The buttons and markings are certainly very discrete.

Stand removal guide: pictures

The money shot:

:)

And you can see 18 more one at a time with descriptions or all at once, without.

Hope that's useful...

Hmm no matter what I do, I cant get the base to click into the neck of the monitor. Pushing down pretty firmly, dont want to exert too much pressure mind.

Anyone have any ideas?

Love the monitor :)

Viewing angles are excellent.
But I just took a look at that video that was posted earlier. For some reasons the viewing angles in that video seem better to what Im getting now, perhaps it was just the video camera quality perhaps?

Are all the panels the same in these Screen? (i.e. no Samsung/AUO lottery mumbojumbo) ?

Three lbt, WOW! How come you need three?

Because he is hardcore. :)

I ordered one yesterday at 1430hrs, but it would appear that it was too late for next day delivery (and here I was thinking that orders received before 1600hrs were shipped same day, as per the website).

Anyway, I shall receive mine on Monday and will see what all the fuss is about. I shall be coming from a CRT background so will be able to give an insight into how this monitor compares to a good CRT.

Also lbt, are you 100% sure that the mounts available fit those holes (in the monitor) perfectly?

Hi sunama, I would be interested in your view also since I too came from a 19" Iiyama CRT which I loved.

So far Im loving this. Admitedly the viewing angles are better than the 22" Sammy that I had for awhile but then sold, but still the angles are not as good as a CRT ofcourse :)

The question you asked lbt, was it in reference to the holes on the base? Or the holes on the back of the panel?

Holes on the back of the panel.

From the pictures that lbt has posted, we first remove the base, then attach the monitor to a mount, using the 6 holes shown in lbt's photograph.

Ali-Longden, have you already mounted yours on a wall, if so can you post a pic?

Thanks
