Glad I hit sky+ and went back to sleep, boring race.
You missed the best final laps of the year then.
And honestly, I thought the race was pretty good. There was the tension of the title battle looming over it, the grid had people out of place with regards to their fuel strategy (like it or not, until next year it's still one of the main performance factors in the races), and there was some close action away from the very front of the field.
Random musings:
1) Why wasn't Kovy penalised for clobbering Sutil? Think back to Massa vs Hamilton last year in Fuji - Massa got a penalty for nerfing Hamilton in a similar manner (on the grass at the apex, moving back on track and tagging the car outside of him). Inconsistency from the race stewards once more, or as I like to put it -

Assistance!
2) That's probably the best I've seen Vettel drive since Monza '08. Utterly brilliant, so far ahead that he could survive two slow pitstops and come out with an enormous lead.
3) Hamilton seemed pretty ordinary by his standards today. Aside from his start (which was electric as always), he never seemed to have even a brief response to the speed of Vettel and always looked in danger of losing the spot to Trulli that he'd done so well to gain. The KERS dying on him and the slightly fluffed exit from the pitlane just about capped it. About the best that can be said is that he didn't lose out on the final podium spot to Kimi after the safety car pulled in, which was pretty good going.
4) Please, please, please, stewards and FIA.....don't let the Rosberg situation drag on too long!
5) As much as I'm puzzled by Kovy getting away with ramming a fellow competitor off the road, I have to applaud him for that wonderful bit of opportunistic overtaking down to Turn 1 after his stop. Fisi must have not hit the KERS Push-To-Not-Get-Overtaken button, but it was still great driving from Kovy.
6) I wonder how many people are going to bet against Button taking the title now? 14pt lead over his nearest rival, going to a track next where said rival has 11 retirements in 16 races - I'd have said he still looks good for it.
