Need for Speed Time Trial Championship ** Season 2 ** (Multiplatform)

Here's my video. Can't get anywhere near the times you guys are setting. But I have only been playing this game for about a day :p I suppose it's not a bad run, not pretty though. One annoying wall hit and one fairly major swerve which I just managed to hold. Tell me what you think. Btw, fraps only records up to 4GB then continues recording to a new file, so at 05:39 you'll see the join.


 
Ok, first, it sounds like you have the gearbox is in manual? ... set it to auto, one less thing to worry about whilst learning the game :)

Then, regardless of speed, try and go round the track a few times holding the racing line. This will help learn the track and tell you where the grip is.

Remember on corners slow in, Fast out!

Good idea, I'll try automatic for a bit. Holding the racing line is so hard, I keep cutting in and out of it like a drunkard.:( I really don't want to turn any assists on if I can help it, that would just make me have to relearn car control when I turn them off again.
 
my last chance to have a go before the next round starts, so i shall borrow the settings above :)

scrap that had to unplug and plug back in my pedals for some reason

** i cant go any faster :(

Just got in so not had time to think about it yet. I'm happy to go with the suggestion from Dureth tho if it's a good combination :) I'll see how I get on next week.

just time for another quick go, some improvements with wedge's settings .

be glad of a new car as the engine note from this one is really starting to get on my nerves...

Thanks for that. We'll go with with Dureths' then.

I hope yourself, Merlin5 & Dureth are enjoying the TT experience. It's the only reason the rest of us have Shift on our hard drives still. Great to have you here.

Unlucky with the 53's. The engine note got on my nerves after one flying lap. Good riddance.

I'm loving it! :D I'm getting a bit better all the time. Are you guys doing 'drifting' technique wth countersteering and accelerator dabbing in some of those corners? It's something I haven't really learnt to do yet. How many more weeks are left of season 2 and when does season 3 start? I don't want this to end now that I just got started :)
