*** The Official Heaven Benchmark Thread ***

Didn't say anyone was arguing, i was just making the point that keeping to the facts without any fanboyism or silly comments would make this thread far more useful for anyone looking to make a decision on buying a new GFX card.
I wasn't making the point at anyone in particular, its just i have seen a lot of posts on this part of the forum (for some reason i will never understand) from a lot of people who seem like they know what they are talking about elsewhere on the forums turn into unrational people due to what graphics card they own at the time...like i said good advice seems to go out of the window.

i don't think talking about oc's would = fanboyism or silly comments.

now if someone was to say stupids thing like "my nvida card is the best, all amd cards are crap", that would = fanboyism or silly comments

When using this benchmark to test overclocking speeds what do you get when approaching the limits? Do you see errors and sparklies or does it just crash? Or both??

With my GTX460, I've had Unigine fatal error (most common), clocks dropping to 2D speeds, or hard restart (only once) with unstable core overclocks. With unstable mem overclocks I've just seen certain textures turning white.

Not sure how different cards may vary. My old 4870 just always seemed to hard freeze on unstable core clocks, where my 460 tends more often to malfunction in switching between 2D and 3D clocks due to a driver crash and recovery. I never tried my 4870 in Heaven, though.

Ok, finally worked out how to do this properly as I was getting really low min fps.

My OC 470GTX @ 861\1722\1674 @ 1.037v. Quite pleased at how close it is to the new cards. Yes I know they will OC too. LOL.:D

Cythx get yourself an aftermarket cooler, man, those temps hitting 93c I couldn't stand that.

I fixed the temps, they max out at 87 now (furmark + ffxi + everything else).

I'm sorry Easy :(. I can't get my 1920x1440 resolution with ATI with Windows 7. On Nvidia the resolution shows up fine as well as I was testing a discarded but working 9800GTX+. And yes, I have a CRT screen lol, it's a gaming one from back in the day. After buying a LCD screen with a terrible response time, I gave it to a friend for nearly nothing within a few weeks and reverted back to the CRT I was that unimpressed. I do need to get one though but would love to be able to get my proper resolutions in Windows 7 that I used to have in XP.

6950, flashed @ 950 / 1400 Power Control @ 0% as with +20% I received less of a score on Unigine.

Hello,

Anyone know why my min. fps is so low? I know the CPU isn't cutting edge, but its @3.4, Looking arround the min looks like it should be a bit more?
