CPAN is the comprehensive perl archive network
use it to install perl modules - so you are missing one.

Well I thought I would give Bodhi Linux a try on my laptop, it's Ubuntu based and uses the Enlightenment E17 window manager. I kind of like it in a quirky sort of way, however I would say it feels more like a toy than a serious tool though, I prefer a more conventional desktop environment really but Enlightenment is impressive in many ways, it's very, very quick too.

The theme is A-Nogal ...and the wallpaper I added myself from Interfacelift, although the theme did have a wooden look one already.

Sadly still haven't got round to installing conky... or mpd... or sorting out syslinux... or a startup manager... or splashy. Oh well, Chrome and Steam are pretty much 90% of everything i use anyway :p

Contrast this to my earlier screenshot. Doesn't look any different? What happened to my volume icon then? Tons of this stuff has gone missing, backgrounds in menus, icon themes, even the 'plus' sign on the new tab button on Chromium. I get the feeling that Gnome 3 is falling to pieces around me. And i understand why people hate it :D

You know, i do get why people hate it. I just find that i can get on fine with it... when it works. Minimal amount of effort to set up, which probably isn't what i should be looking for in a DE but i'm lazy. I mean, i want to use DWM. But i know that would take a lot of effort to get working, and even more to get to where i like it and am competent with using it. Plus i don't think i'd get on well with dmenu, how much i'd have installed but i'd completely forget about since i haven't memorized what everything's called.

Anyway, this 'disappearing' thing is getting on my nerves, as are issues with full screen apps. So i'm installing Cinnamon from the AUR as we speak, we'll see how that goes :)

Well i just got Cinnamon working and...

Where on Earth has this icon got to? I've tried rolling back gnome-shell, completely reinstalling gnome, putting everything in the themes folder back to how it was as per default... it's just gone.

I may have to be on the search for a new DE. I wonder just how hard it is to get used to DWM.
