Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

I rang Phones4u today and was amazed to discover that the Samsung Galaxy Note has been 'pulled' and wont be offering it anymore due to the amount of problems???

so I really dont know what to think now

Sounds like they can't get stock and are using that as an excuse.
 
I tried a Note today in CPW. It's certainly quite big. Not sure I could get used to the size. Lovely device though and no mention of them having famous problems.

I absolutely love the look of this phone, and have been trying to get a great deal on it all over the place
O2 wont do it via retentions over the phone (or over the phone at all)
Vodaphone are not doing it at all
and now Phones4u have today told me its been 'pulled' due to the amount of problems with it
have not seen any mention of 'famous' problems
 
Well if there's enough so called problems for it to be pulled, you would think they would be pretty famous by now. At least over on XDA or here in this thread.

Phones4u still seem to be selling it on their website and it has an 8.8 customer rating there. You'd think there would instead be complaints there if the device had problems.

Places most likely aren't selling it because it has a niche market.

My case arrived today, it was this one:

Only cost me £7 but took around 2-3 weeks to get here. It doesn't add much bulk to the phone at all, and the screen protector it came with wasn't that bad either, I managed to apply it without leaving any bubbles. The edge does sit slightly higher then the screen so if you drop this and it lands screen side down, theres a good chance it won't smash.

I can't find it on Android market, and using the pc it won't let me download it as it's not in the list of compatible devices.... what's the title on market? GTA 3 and grand theft auto III bring up nothing but random GTA guides, wallpapers and the like.:(
 
ive been using an app called lcd density, soo good! you need root for it to work, you can shrink the ppi doing so makes things smaller and crisper on the screen and you can see so much more on the screen, its a must have app imo.

You did, you said a main retailed pulled a phone because there were to many problems.

Usually when a phone is pulled with problems the problems are very serious and on the news.

Rarely are they pulled for no reason.

P4u are having you on.

Anyone upgraded from a dell streak? and think it was worth it. I just love my streak so much and have ordered the note blind, hope it lives up to the hype!

Can anyone confirm how they are finding the note in terms of portability/usability, do you find it ok to call people and find the ease of use fine?

I am due for an upgrade, but everyone is saying zomg it wont fit into your pocket, you mad braah, etc? :p

That has been answered a fair few times, do a thread search for "pocket" and "size" and you should get plenty of info. :)
