Well here is the heaven bench of my current for comparison with 7850

If I was to purchase a 7870, which I would be doing when I eventually decide on a CPU / MB combination (Z68 / Z77, Sandy / Ivy), would my current Enermax Infiniti 720 PSU be able to cope? Not sure I understand exactly what is needed in terms specification. I've read the 7870 uses 2no. 6 pins but the Enermax came with only 1no. 6+2 pin...

May have answered my own question by re-reading the Infiniti specs, which state 3 x 12v rails 28A / 28A / 30A and 2 x 6 pin PCI-e cables, plus 1 x 6+2 PCI-e cable

I'll have to dig around in my large box of mainly useless cables!

Would a 7850 be a massive upgrade from a gtx 460? My 460 is really starting to show its age. I want to upgrade but dont want to spend the stupid prices the top end cards are going for.

Thanks

funny you should ask that i was reading on another for where a member swapped 460 sli for a single 7870 and got higher frames in all his games so would say swapping a single 460 for 7870 would be great upgrade ;)
