Nice one, about same idle temps as I am getting.

BF3 seems to run fine from my playing last night, I had it at 1080p, mix of ultra and high, I think it was:

Texture = Ultra
Shadow = High
Effects = High
Mesh = High
Terrain Qual = Ultra
Terrain Dec = Ultra
AA Def = OFF
AA Post = High
Motion Blur = ON
Aniso = 16x
Amb Oc = HBAO


And it felt smooth throughout (64player Casp server). Couldn't say actual FPS as I didn't have a readout on, but it certainly felt smooth.

I didn't really play with the settings much, I was more testing the OC i'd put on the card. I'll have a go with the other settings turned up later.

Haven't tried yet. I think I read in the 12.4 thread that AB wasn't playing well with these beta's with regards to volt and CCC limit unlocks.
 
Cool cheers for that hex, just jumped on casapian border and had a drop to around 45fps with d3doverider on as well, i think maybe my current amd setup is holding it back perhaps. I am looking to go i5 shortly once i can decide on a board
 
Would the Sapphire 7850 make a good upgrade from my current 5870? from your results so far and what I've seen on anandtech benches it looks like it would be a good improvement.

edit: i only game at 1680 x 1050 currently and thats unlikely to change for quite some time.

im not too clued up on amd cpu and i imagine the memory shouldnt be making much differance but you should oc the card and try to match what hex got then give that a try ;)
