The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

The only file you need from the enbseries_skyrim_v0113.zip is the d3d9.dll from wrapper folder, put that in the Skyrim folder (folder with TESV.exe in it). Then search Nexus for ENB, sort the search by downloads or endorsements to get the popular ones. Download one, extract it, put the files in Skyrim folder with that d3d9.dll.

enbbloom.fx"
enbeffect.fx"
enbeffectprepass.fx"
enbpalette.bmp"
enbseries.ini"
d3d9.dll"

Those are the 6 main ENB files, some presets have more.

Cheers for the help, I believe I have everything right now and I did find the unreal cinema download on another site. However, when I run the game from the launcher it opens a black skyrim window for a few seconds then closes skyrim again. : /

Edit: I don't no if this is related but when I first add the d3d9.dll file skyrim launcher tries to configure but just gives the windows "program stopped working error"

The game works fine if I remove the dll file.

I had that too. Disable your precision x/afterburner fps/temp etc overlay, or just close the monitoring program.

If you're as sick as I am of Lydia dying because she charges in and gets shot by you, make her essential by using this command line:

setessential 000a2c8e 1

Obviously if you shoot her repeatedly she will still become hostile, but now she won't die if walks in front of your shout or lightning bolt etc. Dumb bitch.

That could be handy !

On a similar vein , i was working on my smithing a bit and was visiting the blacksmiths to buy more ingot, when i went to riverwood a dragon came there and killed the riverwood blacksmith , he seems to be gone forever now and a couple of the other riverwood people also, is there a way to bring these guys back to life ?
Cheers.

They are gone for good but sometimes new people may move in this can take long time tho.

If it is yer first play I would recommend staying away from smithing it is badly overpowered and makes the game way to easy.

Only if you abuse it. Nothing wrong with making your weapons and stuff better, tis fun, one of the best bits of the game slowly getting all your gear to Legendary :).

Anyone know why my Skyrim won't launch with the d3d9.dll file in my Skyrim folder? When I delete it the game works but I don't have the enb effect, It's a fresh install and the only mod I've tried at the minute so it's not conflicting.

It doesn't work with some(not sure if all?) GPU monitoring programs such as Afterburner.

I have got the grey-face bug now all of a sudden:rolleyes: and none of the usual fixes have worked.

So I thought I would post this in here for anyone else looking to replicate a similar look:

The basic ENB, FXAA injector and Lighting mods are: Unreal Cinema ENB, Realistic Lighting and Immersive Environment (I'm running other various texture mods but just focusing on these right now)

I compiled the relevant files into a rar for easy download.
https://rapidshare.com/files/2904708237/Custom_enb___injector.rar

Place those files into your skyrim directory (delete any previous ENB/FXAA settings) and you're good to go (You will need to adjust the brightness, mine is 3 clicks down from the highest).

Revamped exterior fog is also needed (placed at the bottom of your load order):
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9930

Please ensure Realistic Lighting Patcher is 1 place above Realistic Lighting in your load order.

I also adjusted the ENB file to alter the pitch black nights to a more realistic setting.

To do this Download: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=17400

Place it in your skyrim root folder where the enb files are located.

Run it and under the following parameters (On the environment tab) alter these values:

Ambient Lighting:

Intensity At Night - 10
Shadow Strength At Night - 10

Bloom:

Amount At night - 10

If you also experience rays coming off the moon at night, go to the Sky tab and under the sun parameter untick sun rays.

To disable letterboxing, in the enb customiser tool go to 'Other' tab and untick letterbox height.

The nights are not pitch black anymore but I'd say a torch is still required (My preference). For reference I'm also using torch & street light mods as below but it's up to you if you require them:

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4764#content (V4a default brightness, 2x radius)

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=17605 (Using optional light adjuster: Vanilla brightness, increased radius)

I hope somebody finds this useful.
