You said that Liverpool and Spurs have done better business.

And I believe they have, both teams have brought in players who would improve us no end, have we likewise brought in players that would have improved them (Spurs and Liverpool) no end? Of course, but then I don't care about them, we've got a fairly obvious hole to fill and we've neglected to address it whilst the type of players who (I believe) would be perfect have gone elsewhere for minimal fees (fair enough it remains to be seen as to whether Sahin is moving away from Madrid permanently or just temporarily)

If it makes me spoilt for not being content with 'just' RVP then so be it, I would imagine though most will see through us simply adding another striker though and see the real problem in the side remains the same

'Just' Robin Van Persie. Last seasons top goal scorer.

Manchester United also signed Powell who's young and promising, Kagawawa who's an amazing prospect and a left back.

United still have a very good midfield, you're talking like they have no midfielders at all.

Apparently the Richardson deal is worth ~£2m. Not a bad fee, could really do with another striker and midfielder at a minimum though

You talk sense, can you be my friend please :(

I can't take it. :(

looks like it's now down to the medical

be interesting to know what we pay (£10m + jenas or bentley would be nice and would both be useful additions to fulham).

Bentley and Jenas wouldn't be useful additions to a league two side, let alone a prem side, they are absolute gash. In particular Bentley, as Jenas can randomly have a great game, which happens maybe once a season, that's if he is not injured. For all of Levy's good dealings Bentley sticks out like a sore thumb, cost us 16.5M, and is one of the top earners, and still has two years left on his contract

If our midfield can stay injury free and fit then there isn't this incredible problem that people make out.

Last season we were hit with injury after injury, a big blow in losing such an experienced player in Fletcher, Clev missing a lot of the season after the Bolton match etc.

You cannot sign endless amounts of players 'just in case' someone gets injured or whatever, when they are all fit there then it would become madness.

Oh do get your head out of the clouds, for as long as I can remember the club has had mountains of injuries upon mountains of injuries every single season, Christ we're only 2 games into this season and already we've only got 1 fit centre back and are having the play our best midfielder alongside him in defence.

We're not exactly stocked in midfield even with everyone fit anyway and given the pretty substantial guarantee that at least two of them will be retiring this time next year even if by some miracle we do keep everyone fit we won't have hoards of angry midfielders not getting a game for long.
