**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

As a gesture of thanks to the millions of Xbox fans around the world for their passion and loyalty, Xbox announced that every Xbox Live Gold subscriber will receive two free Xbox 360 games per month until the release of Xbox One, starting with a pair of popular titles: “Halo 3” and “Assassin’s Creed II.” And to celebrate E3 in the month of June, Xbox Live Gold members will receive a free download of “Fable III.”

Gotta be honest 1600x900 will scale worse on a 1080p screen than 720p which is a straight doubling of pixels.

There's a very high chance everything was 720p or maybe even something like 1280x1080 which Wipeout used on the PS3 if I remember correctly.

What?

You better be sure about what you are on about because you risk falling on your face.

Go on then, highlight exactly where your "straight doubling of pixels" occurs somewhere in the following resolutions you mentioned:

1920*1080
1600*900
1280*720

I thought the games they showed looked pretty damn good tbh. The amount of physx and lighting stuff was leagues ahead of current consoles and really adds immersion to the games.

One thing for sure is its going to be a good few years for gamers albeit an expensive few years.

So is this only a temporary service? Thats a shame, if so...

Explains why Fable 3 was free today

ps3ud0

They cost me nothing, because I didn't buy any of those.

Seriously, does everyone own an iPad/Nexus except me? I'm starting to feel like a luddite, here!

Or maybe the only sane person in a world of people who can't resist expensive, short-lived gadgets? :p

I don't have neither. Or an iPhone. But it's amazing the amount of people that can layout all the phones on a table.

I was playing Bioshock Infinite last night for first time (on PC admittadly) - and the visuals literally blew me away

watching these previews today- none really felt next gen to me ?

hoping for more from Sony (please)

Can only reiterate what others have said, I'm in no way spending £400+ on a console, when the games are released at £45-£55+. that is absolutely silly money.

This is where Nintendo's sales figures go up, hopefully.
