Yeah, kinda. You have no idea how excited I gotwhen I learnt I could use my iphone as a remote for iTunes on the PC.

If I can have a box under the TV, that will be the sky box, play all my music/podcasts, play all my films, that will be a web browser and stream webcasts/netflix etc, that will be a Skype videophone AND be entirely voice controlled........ I'm in!!

So long as I can play all the games with a pad (wavy arm crap is ridiculous!) I'll be super excited to get one of those, and I think £430.00 is a very reasonable price.

Man after my own heart.
As well as remotes are inadequate for modern use.
Long emails, passwords, search terms.
The other option is a keyboard in anything tiny to full size.
I would rather voice and wavy hand if it works well and works on everything.

The other option is a NUC with kinect, but unlikely to do the tv bit and I expect that to cost closer to 600, but en no yearly sub needed. It realy depends on fine details. Which we still haven't got.

Hmmm, still on the fence about getting this or the PS4 or none at all.

The Kinect was the one thing that brought me back to console gaming and it's what I use the most on the xbox 360 and if the kinect on the xbox one is better than it will be very tempting for me. I love the xbox controller as well.

I will be waiting until closer to release date before I make any choice.

You could have done this with a pc long before the xboxone

It doesn't act as a Sky box, it just takes the HDMI input from it.

There were scenes with Xbox controls on the screen as well (X to reload etc) so it's more likely they've left in the generic UI elements common to PC, Xbox and presumably PS4 in at the moment.

Nice, not even using their own console for that one :)

Add:
The rape joke in a supposedly professional demo that twitter has exploded over.
£429 price point, Amazon UK seems to have games at £55 too. Stick an extra controller & gold in there, and well...
Huge privacy issues only exacerbated by the recent PRISM leak & MS involvement
This 'cloud' rubbish, which is utter utter pap
Checking in every day, or even single player games wont work
Zero backwards compatibility
Forced paywall for gaming (and likely worse according to reports)

I wont go on. I'm out.

If anyone is saying £429 is too much think about how much that iPad or nexus 10 or iPhone or galaxy s4 cost... I know you can get contract but some people buy straight out.

I think I'm in for the Xbox One at launch. Love the fact they took PSN+ free games onboard :) even if the games are pap. Do we know if the Xbox one will get the free games or just the 360?
