Some of the smartglass stuff looked like it could be interesting as a second screen as time goes on and devs work out what to do with it.

I wonder how much time, effort and money goes into the SmartGlass (what shall we call them) extensions?

To me it seems like they're making features for uber-casuals? People who would rather mess around on a tablet than play a proper game?

What's the point in it all?
 
Most of the games where played live, BF4 demo was being played etc via the pc dev kits.
Left for dead blew me away with how much was going on on screen.
Overall impressed with what was shown.

Microsoft definitely delivered this time. The games looked awesome.

I'm so pleased that Killer Instinct is being revived.

I've been a PS fan from day one. However, as a gamer it would be wrong of me not praise MS for what theyre about to deliver in November....

I want an XBOX ONE (and PS4 lol)!

720p is 2/3 the resolution of 1080p vertically and horizontally (remember that this is what matters when upscaling, not raw pixel count) so scaling will look like a steaming turd.

If the directional resolutions were exactly doubled you would have a point, for example 1080p upscaled to 4k looks exactly as sharp as 1080p as you literally double the pixels both vertically and horizontally.

But it falls down like PS+ on PS4, we wont be getting free next-gen games from the start, so its unlikely to move over. With Sony they appear to be able to provide Gaikai streamed past-generation games as part of PS+. I honestly dont see how MS will get the metrics from to derive that decision while its still an offer aimed at the X360 and a mature XBL Gold audience...

EDIT: It also feels like if they were going down that route then E3 would have been the place to announce such a service to improve XO preorders
