Motorola Moto G - new budget smartphone champion?

Way smoother Dude, considering it's using lesser hardware it actually shames the G2. Amazing how Moto have optimised the Moto G for use on a day to day basis.

Exactly why it put me off the G2, it's ugly and the micro stutters really used to annoy me. It's not as bad as Touchwiz though...

The screen's really dim on the G2 I don't know why, maybe they haven't calibrated it properly.

What do you make of the buttons on the back of the phone?

I'm the smoothness will be sorted with KK, but still the fuglyness will remain. :D

The screen is an overall a 6/10 for me, inaccurate colours, bad colour and contrast shift and dims a lot at angles....not a patch on the HTC One, Oppo 5 or iP5S LCD panels.

I don't mind the buttons on the back at all, makes the phone look really clean. I don't like the software buttons though, capacitive buttons any day.

Hopefully the G3 will fix the wrongs.

The Moto G is such a bargain it's unbelievable - It was done for a reason, and that was to but Motorola back on the map!

I have always had a soft spot for Moto...classy heritage. I hope to own the Moto X successor.

And stoosh, while you've been away I've strayed a bit....

A post from that link you posted from.hukd... Seriously lol the Lumia 520 is not even in the same league as the moto g.. And android oa for idiots? Clearly this guy is deluded.

Must be some major difference in opinions !

Anyhow I love this moto g it so easy to use it, this is my first smart phone I owned and properly used for more then 5 minutes and even then I was naturally using it. I went to the main screen and was rubbing the icon thinking it wont move to this side cant be that simple lol

You mean swipe texting? Where you swipe across the letters to spell words? Its pretty good but I'm so used to typing normally I don't often use it.

Was thinking what is swipe texting but just googling it looks interesting, but that is not what I meant just in general sms/texting.

When people are for example sending an sms to someone, are you guys holding the moto with one hand and tapping away with your thumb or 2 hands and fingers ?

When using one hand I will use the swipe text gesture. It makes one handed use of any modern smartphone viable. I swiped this reply using it!

I rushed over to apple hardware as soon as I saw that pic last night, it put my heart to rest somewhat when I read kona's entry.

thx will try, I tried 2 handed and ended up holding the phone with both hands and thumbs to to press keys while sending sms which was fast and good but this swipe sounds good :)
