290P/290X running temp comp

Afternoon Kaaps, my Heaven BMRK 4.0 results after 3 runs 4820k:4.6GHz-1.34v SLI 670 Stock > GPU1:1058/3004 / GPU:1084/3004 - Room Temp 21'c.

I don't think Vrm temps is supported with 670's > GPU MAX TEMP:37'C / CPU Core Temps:42'c 35'c 42'c 42'c

Note duting the 3 runs my SLI670's Core Temps fluctuated between 34'c to 37'c.

Custom loop -
PhoBya Rad 560+EK DCP 4.0 Pump (12v) with 4xZaward Golf II Fan 140mm 900rpm ZG2-140D - black
Watercool Heatkiller CPU Block Rev3.0 1366 / 2011 - Black Nickel

I also know you are an ace modder, I was not sure if you have enhanced the cooling.:D:)

I will put you down as ref air.:)

Hehe true. I do have a pair of Accelero's that i could put on my cards but when i tried it on my 7950's the cards had no room to breath and (due to using 3 slots each) i got really bad temps so no chance of it working on these.

Just gave this a go 3x benchmark runs on ultra 8x AA tess maxed cards at stock using my fan profile

80-77 on refrence cooling sandwiched together in a micro atx with 2 ssds 2 hdds and a 3930k lol

Only just noticed LT matt's is using 100% fan time for a rerun lol :D

LOL. Damn straight i am Mr May. It was like being at Heathrow. I should run it again to be fair. I did feel like i was cheating with that run. What fan speed were you using? I normally run about 55-60% fan speed. Your temps are really good i have to say. Its a testament to the design of the reference cooler that you can run like that with a lower fan profile and still keep decent temps.

One last time as I missed the under volting part :o

64-58 degrees

Wow you actually got lower temps than mine and you have a 290X vs my 290 Pro's. I'm amazed.

EDIT

What are the Asics of your cards Mr May?

blower cards do quite well when up and down like his pic

One difference i did notice actually. His VDDC in Gpu-z is a constant 1.000v where as mine fluctuates around 1.125v. That could explain the difference, other than that no idea. I wonder if hes using force constant voltage in afterburner?
