*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

Over the past few days my battery seems to have turked. I struggle to get a day with average usage and just under 3 hours screen time.

I'm currently running GSam Battery monitor to see if that sheds any light.

Clear the cache and the dalvik cache in recovery and it will be right as rain.

Guys any idea how I can fix my Hotmail account? About a week or 2 ago my Hotmail stopped working in standard Gmail app. I checked the settings and they're correct.
It worked fine for weeks after I updated to L then all of a sudden stopped working. It doesn't show up in Settings -> Accounts so I can't even delete it.

And another year of under whelming phones which have the same old minor and pointless improvements with a crap design, looks like I will be keeping the N5 for a bit longer...

There's not much more to do with 'phones'. Wearables are next, Google Glass etc.

I've "rooted" my Nexus 5 three times with Wugfresh's 2.0.4 toolkit and each time I get a message in Windows saying the device is rooted. However SuperSU still says there's no binaries installed, QuickBoot doesn't work and, getting frustrated now, have installed RootChecker which has told me several times that my phone is NOT rooted.

What is going on?

I'm running lollypop on mine.
It seems to always have subtle issues with memory. Sometimes I can't fully connect to bluetooth audio devices that its pre linked with unless I kill a few apps.

has anyone experienced a battery drain problem if they have the percentage turned on for the battery.

i downloaded the app that flicks the switch in the os and since then my battery has been draining loads i have gone from over night only loosing 5-10% to dropping 30%.

i have turned this off now and its back to normal.

has anyone else experienced this?

i was just using a battery widget before, though this would have been more efficient not less.

A bit late to the party but just upgraded to this from my Samsung S2. Great piece of kit for £160 off the MM, well worthy of the jump.
Have a Nexus 10 on Lollipop so means that the Nexus 5 is already very familiar. Thought a speaker was knackered but then I read that only one is a actually a speaker???
Am using a Choetec wireless charging pad and it works well.

5.1 would be nice. My phones been horrible since lolipoop went on!

Lots of crashes, lockups and battery has been terrible...

Fingers crossed for today still

The GPS on my N5 is still awful despite doing the fix to the connectors. It's barely useable for navigation in the car. I've ended up using a Note 3 tethered to to the N5 for navigating. Clunk, but at least it actually works!

do you think this is software or hardware fault? mines the same, but it's only been at fault since upgrading to 5.0. should i send back or wait for 5.1?

I don't remember it being awful on KitKat, but I didn't have it long before upgrading it. I might try downgrading it to see if that helps.
