Well, after some fiddling about I discovered the issue is actually Precision X. When it is open, it prevents the Titan X from downclocking and undervolting (in my case anyway). MSI AB on the other hand, no problem at all, works perfectly. Only issue with the latter is you can't adjust the voltage slider so we need to wait for a new version to do that.

Bit disappointed with Precision X. A bit naff.

I get 60fps on GTA V with mine on the default clocks at 1440p

I found Precision X good for messing with overclocks. I always put mine back to default for everything else though.

I'm not too fond of Precision X either... Afterburner just functions better.

Hello again

Having just installed gigabyte number 2, I thought I would share a couple of points.

I am running these in an H440 so wasn't sure about temps. My previous single 780ti (non ref) ran up to 80c in this case. When I saw the temps of the single Titan X I was encouraged though. So i've just left it for a 30 minute loop on Heaven and saw the following temps. Cards are both stock.

Idle: Top 45c Bottom 30c
Load: Top 72c Bottom 66c

Cards are in slots 1 and 3 on a RIVE.

Posting as there is a tiny chance someone is going through the same thought process having a "hot" case.

Is everyone who's watercooling these putting them on a custom bios to overvolt? How much extra mhz does watercooling provide on average?

I have a really low ASIC card and can only overclock to 1350mhz stable on air. What will I be looking at with a custom bios on water do you think?

1500-1650 is acheivable on water with the 1.281v BIOS.

I'm not even bothering to flash mine, only overclocked it once and was 1462mhz. Whatever the stock voltage is, no idea.

Do the benefits of overclocking increase in proportion to the number of cores? (Simple maths + logic tells me this is the case) It feels like overclocking is more important with this Titan X than was my 980. I can really feel the difference between stock and just 1350.

this is my second custom water loop the first being a pair of 480's. things have moved on since then so I felt a bit noobish but I think i've done alright.

My ambient temp is 19, i idle on the desktop at 30 and get to about 53 / 54 when gaming.

I dont know anything about clocking so when I have time I might look into it or maybe load the evga sc bios on if its easy, but for now I will get some gaming in.

Many thanks to all the forum members who have answered posts to get me here and a big shout out to the OCUK staff.
