Have you tried putting the speakers on a couple of boxes / raised off the desk a bit?
May be worth little desktop speaker stands - Depends if it makes a difference to the sound though

Love the little cheap chinese (/American) amps. Using an SA-50 with some Diamond 9.0s at home; sound quality is phenomenal for the price.

I need to get some speaker stands but they're so pricey.

Yeah for £70 you get a t-amp 24bit dac and a headphone amp. Can't complain with that really.

Nice choice on the audio set-up, I've got the VX1 with some 3010s myself, superb combination and I've been really happy with them. Did consider the 3020s but the bigger footprint put me off.
