Not bad for living in the arse end of nowhere.
what would people recommend please - I've three main options
(1) buy an openreach modem off Ebay
(2) buy a Draytek 130
(3) buy a replacement for both routers, all singing dancing one, R7000 etc ? but concerned that with most of the ones with built in modems, the modem part doesn't often seem to get "great" reviews
That's the one, couldn't remember what it's called. It's under "extras" IIRC. Just untick, save, and wait.
Very nice Nightst@lker, IIRC you're on a farm somewhere?
We're due to go live very soon here, I want some fast fibre to stream videos to the cows in the milking parlour. How far from the cabinet are you? those are good speeds!
Yup, living on a farm, cabinet is located in the exchange premises which is about 300 meters away.
300 is nice and close, we're 500-600mtrs from ours. I'm hoping for similar speeds to yours.
68mb was estimated. I reset the hub and it's slowly going up each time I run the check using speedtest. It seems to be really erratic, one test it will top out at 20mb next test 65 and loads sitting around 30. But it ramps up, is this normal?
Are you using wireless to do your speedtest? What is your sync speed listed as on the HH5?
Not happening. Expect upwards of 60 though.
Your sync speed is max upload and pritty much max download. I think the highest it can sync is 79999. You should be getting 70 ish down in the speed tests. Have you tried running it on another site? try

do them all on a wired connection.
