All this talk of coil whine and fan grinding, try having tinnitus like me, you won't hear a thing

Who has the quietest fans?
I've went with MSI after trying to find out and couldn't find a whole lot of info, nobody else seems to know.
MSI is 100mm and dual ball bearing fans.
I don't know if anyone else uses bigger fans or a better type of bearing.
Doesn't seem like anyone goes full Noctua and uses an SSO bearing.
I just want silence and quality, and to stop having bad luck.
Had an EVGA 650 P2 fan fail after 15 days and my Gigabyte 1070 WindForce OC is being RMA'd because its fans grind and it can't even break 2000mhz core.
If my MSI Gaming 1070 8G has ridiculous coil whine or dysfunctional fans I'm going to have a mental breakdown, throw my PC out the window, change names move countries and start over with my life and PC.
No point in having all Noctua case fans if I keep getting broken loud garbage that is way louder than them.
Well i hope this can give you a bit of piece of mind but my MSI 1070 ARMOR OC which lets face it is using the cheapest non blower cooler they have are doing fine in temps(72c OCed to 2025), noise and has no coil whine. Also my sample breaks the 2ghz barrier.
Palit Jetstream/GameRock/Gainward Golden Sample have super low spinning fans and can spin as low as 900-1100 rpm during gaming load with a chunky 2.5 slot cooler.
You still won't find much quieter than the Gaming X though, you will be lucky to hear it spinning and not likely to go over 1300rpm when gaming. Fingers crossed you don't get any coil whine, although I've never had that with MSI cards.
I had a quick look at the card and couldn't see a manufacturer. How would I check?

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your GTX 1070.
Oh ok did it just come in a plain box then?
last time i bought OCUK value i got zotac and a friend got asus i just figured they put the value deals out there to control stock levels, probably wrong.
nvm thanks for replying
forgot to say you can check in gpu-z i think it should show card make in the "subvendor" box, if u have gpu-z installed that is no worries if not.
Yeah came in a plain white box with a driver disc. Packed it all away now though sorry bud.
ps the palit card is awesome
I'm struggling to understand why anyone would have bought the Founders Edition. Would someone be kind enough to explain ?

Some prefer blower coolers, so that almost no heat is dumped into your case. It enables smaller form factor cases, plus requires less case fans.
Some also like the look of the founders edition (reference card). I quite like it, mostly all metal construction feels quality and the geforce lego is pretty nice.
Probably to watercool it.
Why would you want to do that ?
