UPDATE [10/6 / 6PM PT]: We currently have a patch running here at the studio that includes 30, 60, and unlimited frames-per-second options in the video menu, among other improvements for the PC version of Mafia III. We’re verifying the patch now to ensure everything is working as expected. If everything goes well, we expect the update to go live this weekend. We will be keeping the PC community up-to-date on the status of the patch throughout the weekend and thank you for all the feedback!

Right at the start of the game you asked to adjust the hud to fit your screen you must have skipped past it.
Looks decent enough.. The acting is very good so far.
The cynic in me thinks they've been working on it before release as they knew there would be a backlash. If so why not delay a week and avoid all the bad press as the game itself is good!
If not and it was just a genuine oversight then my god they are stupid but at least they are rectifying it quickly.
Like I said before 30fps cap aside I'm enjoying the game.

Wow,did they really release PC version capped at 30fps,Surely they know they would pee off lot of the PC gamers.
Either way,if they drag their heels bringing out the patch,Someone will get it unlocked un-officially.

Only played about 30min so far. first mission started and quit it before finishing it. Since the 30 cap is not great on my monitor... TN at 30 is laggy even with gsysnc.
unpacked, started game. Adjust the screen to fit.... done that and it set my resolution to 1080p no 1440p. So a blurry mess from the start. Had to quit and set it up from the start menu.
Aim assist options... why? or is this for controllers?. Mouse sensitivity was far too high at first aswell. Well was for me.
After the bad start. It looks ok, just not amazing. But I never expected it to look amazing after seeing the early gameplay videos. Not as bad as some of the first screen caps. I guess they had it set up wrong. But it really needs some work on shades and lighting. Only done part of first mission and there is bad texture pop-in when driving, lighting errors.
Also whats with sound effects? move the camera around and sound volume really is up and down? depending if your facing it or not.
So after that very poor start am going to wait for patch or patches to come out. I don't know what is happening this year with games. All half finished shambles.

Im using your sweet fx profile, very good indeed and improves it so much.
In other news i managed to put in around 6 hours into the game. Ive turned it on this morning to see that it hasn't got my save game at all so i have to start from the beginning.
Has anyone got a save file i can have that's around 5 hours into the game ? I really really don't want to do the whole thing again.......
Save files are located at : steamapps/common/mafia3/edit/saves

Nope you aren't the only one. I am seeing plenty of PC gamers out there with exactly the same thoughts and a lot of them are considering jumping to the new consoles.
PC gaming just isn't what it use to be anymore and I am not just talking about the games but also the hardware industry for it as well.
