Another free DOD:S weekend

Didnt see another recent thread about this so here goes.

Incase you have been thinking about buying DODS with some spare cash you had left over hold onto it for a few more days because theres another free weekend starting Friday and ending Monday.

If you still haven't purchased Day of Defeat: Source, you'll get a chance to play the new maps in about a week, as we'll be having a second Day of Defeat: Source Free Weekend. The second free weekend will commence at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time on July 7th, and conclude at 1:00 p.m Pacific time on July 10th. We're looking forward to seeing you all there.

Begins: 1:00 p.m. Pacific time on July 7th
Ends: 1:00 p.m Pacific time on July 10th

if you tried the last one, make sure you try this one as theres been a lot of changes. for the better

The garand is now one of the best guns in the game, IMO since its got better ROF now.

I'll miss this weekend unfortunately, will probably just end up buying it and persuading a few mates to also, on Monday.

Can anyone remember when the last free weekend was? trying to figure out if I have upgraded my computer since then. was it before new years?

I bought it 14 Feb according to my emails, that was about 1/2 weeks after I played it for free.

(would have bought it sooner but I think they had a crap ordering system)

Just had a good game on a fragmasters server. I love the new bomb modes. It makes it really competetive. Some of the rounds can last ages, which is a good thing IMO. I love running in all the gunfire just to plant a bomb and die for it to succeed and blow the objective up

heh, give me a shout mate and we will invade a server some time over the weekend, ive added you to my xfire.
maybe we could get a few people form here on a empty server over te weekend to try and get some of the bits and bobs explained to the new players, nothing worse than trying to learn stuff whilst getting blasted, but tbh the community for dod:s is great and your questions would be answered anyways, but im more than up for a game over the weekend with some members :cool:

Yeh, good idea we should get a few people from here and go onto a server or something. It'd be good to be fighting on the frontline together, im loving the bomb missions too, they're good fun and can last well over an hour trying to get the last bomb on the german car.

Edit: infact ill be playing it around 11pm GMT tonight.

Been playing DoD since the new update- much-o fun-o! Although I 'only' seem to get scores where my kills are double my deaths - I used to be awesome at DoD on the HL1 engine

Kills and deaths dont bother me, its how many flag caps and bomb plants/defuses you get tbh. Although a good K/D ratio is always good.

i always feel a bit guilty though as you get to the top of the list faster doing flags/bombs etc. feel bad for guys slogging it out fire fighting all the time, but there are monsters on this game that get twice as many kills as deaths :eek:
