Aside from sharing his name with the singer of Mary's Prayer he's a pretty decent young talent - he won the Scottish players young player of the year award. However given he's refusing to sign a contract extension Rangers want to try and cash in on him, he might well be worth more than Liverpool are offering but he's obviously unproven outside of Scotland yet.

Merci SPW.

So essentially, you're saying that once they joined UTD, they got worse? Something about that would lead me to thinking that's a management problem.

Before joining United, Berbatov was becoming one of the biggest strikers in the league, receiving praise left, right and centre.

As for Carrick, only this season has his form slipped, as has Gerrard's. Perhaps even more so. Is Gerrard rubbish too? Or are his 'past glories' more important?

To compare Gerrard to Carrick must really upset a lot of Liverpool fans because as a united fan those two players are leagues apart. Gerrard off form is as good as Carrick on form. Carrick has never been able to carry a team and control a game. In his prime he was a solid player with a good range of passing, but his passing and decisions have become terrible.

I'm comparing them as two players who are experiencing a dip in form, and nothing more. And from last seasons match threads, I doubt Liverpool fans would be that worried seeing as how some of them were calling for him to be sold...

I would suggest that over the course of the season, Carrick was more consistent than Gerrard when played. Gerrard had a mare of a season.

To be fair, you cant make those comments, as no approach has been for either player.
To be fair who do you think Modric was talking about here...? ;)
"Tottenham Hotspur gave me my chance in the Premier League and I want to go on to achieve great success here with them. Yes, there have been enquiries from other big clubs, but I have no interest in going anywhere"

Also the fact Spurs moved so quickly to get both tied upto long term deals shows they must have had interest and know what's happened in previous seasons.

Chelsea was reported to be after him - so you never know , I dont think Utd did ever go for either though

Not saying Spurs cant - but you stilll have to stay in the top four for a number of years before you really have a hope of keeping your best players long term, and that isnt a small challange (although it makes it easier with Arsenal, Liverpool and possibly Utd all going thru transitional periods, with team /management or combination of both

just search for

Javier Hernandez goals.

dont look at the long top 10 goals one its a bit long winded for just 10 goals but he's hit a few. his trademark seems to be the 100mph sprint into the box and then finish before anyone realises what is what

or the either footed 30 yarder from out side of the box.

Don't believe youtube it's full of LIES. Even Berbatov and Bendtner look good in compilations on there.
Unless someone made a compilation of all their misses...
I watched a video of Chamakh and he looks world class, but I'm not getting my hopes up :)

Would it have been so hard just to post a few links for us (ie, the exact videos you are talking about)? :p
