Now nighttime has come again i have some pigs and sheep spawning outside.

EDIT: and some skeletons

logged on check population of zombies (list never works for me so nuked em to get tally) got 13, then nuked slimes got 673, nuked them down to the low 60's checked zombies again and the zombies are now in the high 80's.

along with skele's an the rest of the mobs.

seems very high slime numbers might be the issue.

Stupid dogs. I tame them with bones them treat them well with roasted pork and what do they do?

since killing the slime there's crap loads spawning in mine an syls tower.

When tefal was on I had a spider spawn on the top walls of my pumpkin and fall down on me. Not seen much else.

I guess the sheep thing could be a combination of the amount of dogs around and lower player count. Although I'm still not sure why it's linked to playercount, I'm sure it wasn't on the last world? Unless it's a 1.4 change, or a server mod.

yeah what are the purpose of dogs, they don't attack anything they just sit there barking. it would be good if they attacked mobs or something.

Get a wolf then let a mob attack you.

They will attack mobs, but you have to show them the way with the first strike.

I guess we'll limit the slime spawns then. Perhaps try /crowd replace slime skeleton 70 ?

Then do a /nuke slime to help drive it home.

Tefal and MaxiLive are the ones that have been involved in investigating this so I'm sure they'll provide more detail at some point (unless gundog can enlighten us beforehand).

You'll find that I am what can be described as a snooper- almost every unlocked container I come across I have a peek in!

Anyway, I took some sand over at the sand fortress place to repair a creeper hole which may or may not have been caused by me

He wasn't about at the time so I would have asked otherwise. At the gamon's place (it's the log building with the minecarts right?) I was once again exploring and went with two others on minecarts to the place for the night. Smelted clay in one and a little iron in the other. It's not like there is much of any value I would get from furnaces anyway.

As I said, you'll find I peek in most unlocked chests so don't be surprised if you find a lot more! I'd be a mug to steal from people as I know the mods can find out easily and I will have wasted the many hours I have put into various projects.

BTW, any idea when the nether will be back? Building a hell-cave thing so am after netherrack, soul sand etc.

THIS IS WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO LOCK YOUR CHESTS, THIS IS DONE BY PUTTING A SIGN IN FRONT OF YOUR CHEST AND ON THE FIRST LINE PUT [Private]

sorry for the bold but, it saves a lot of complaining of ppl chests being stolen.

I can't comment on what you've said - Tefal and/or Maxi will have to.

Not sure re the Nether. I don't want to have to spend an hour fixing it if it causes issues again.

I agree with that too. However, we still have to investigate issues like this.
