I was going to go for an Acer Aspire One but this looks like a much better buy in the long run

It's reasonably close to the release date so I was wondering if there were any 'hands on' reviews floating around at all?

I've been searching but not really found anything too detailed.

Though on that link posted above, one guy in the comments is saying the following:

I was hoping the manual would reveal a little more about the HDD and how easy it would be to replace. It appears to be a standard 2.5" SATA unit but there are no instructions on how to get to it. I assume it will probably be a down-through-the-keyboard job. 8GB and 16GB SSD versions of the NC10 were also mentioned - the SSD modules utilise the standard SATA connector and sit in the HDD bay, so they should be as easy to swap out as a standard HDD.

Obviously I can't confirm or deny these comments, but it's an interesting post and may lead to a few of us waiting for other models

I've just entered the market for a laptop and after a brief google session this was the one that caught my eye.

I want a laptop for fiction writing, and soft internet usage (emails, wiki browsing etc) nothing more really.

I've noticed a few comments around the net about the keyboard, will this be better for writing? As compared to other standard laptop keyboard layouts?

It will be better for writing than the Eee PC or other netbooks because its keyboard is almost the same size as a regular laptop keyboard. Hence the 10.2" screen to fit the keyboard in.

Yea, it should be perfect for sustained writing.

According to this article , the keyboard is 93% that of a full size keyboard.

not too sure steveo, i think they have a standard sata interface so should be fine?

Also, was wondering if anyone knows of any 10inch netbook sleeves/cases? i.e to fit the Samsung NC10... Having a hard time finding anything smaller than 13inch ones

i beleive they come with basic sleeve, if you watch the video on laptop mag, she unpacks nc10 out of box and it comes with sleeve.
but its good question.. is there decent one out there?

Can't wait to hear some reviews and thoughts of users on these. I can't decide between the NC10 and the Eee PC 1000h but then again, the Samsung looks stunning and has a great battery :cool:
