Carbon Monoxide Alarm Just Went Off!!

our carbon monoxide alarm has just gone of, my dad reset power and checked everything, all seemed ok, so we headed back bed, just gone of again so he cut power to it and parents and bro have gone bed, is there anything to worry about, should i call the fire brigade?

When a carbon monoxide alarm goes off, it usually means carbon monoxide is present, I'd have thought. I'll look out for your story on the BBC tomorrow.

First of all why would you call the fire brigade - you dont have a fire. You need someone to check your gas appliances as they are not burning correctly if your getting CO. If the alarm is battery operated take it out side and it should stop as there should be no CO outside, if it doesnt then it may be a faulty battery. If it is a mains operated detector and it has gone off again after being reset i would suggest getting someone out right now to look at your appliances. You cannot take any chances with CO.

That website (if you looked at it) has a 24 hour emergency line. I'd consider calling it if I were you.
