in work (Tesco) as the store has been opened 20 years. Apparently you are not allowed to wear trainers, so my mum says whos a team leader there and working with me tonight.

Apparently you can get sent home for wearing trainers.

Mum is wearing some type of shoe that has straps and holes along the top exposing her foot etc (not opened toed though), so we shall see how many other of the woman working will be wearing similar completly unsuitable shoes. I'm predicting all of them.

The shoes I normally wear are tatty about 4 years old, huge hole in the front, though you can't see it without pulling away the sole and have no tread. Dad has nicked my camera to take to footy so I canny take pics of my shoes. So the trainers I will be wearing...

would be much much better to wear than my shoes from a health and safety view. And I work on checkouts so no chance of anything dropping onto my feet or anything like that.

So should be an interesting day, most of the managers are ****ers so I'll have a good time ranting if any of them say anything.

We shall see what happens. Wish me luck. :)

so you are not allowed to wear trainers, more than likely from an image standpoint. Yet you are going to wear them anyway.

You aren't big and you aren't clever.

Isnt that a bit awkward, working with your mum in the same store?

No not really, because she just gives me jobs to do that require no effort at all.

If I wear my shoes I normally wear I will look like a tool, if I wear my uniform I will look like a tool. I would rather not look like a tool.

It's a non uniform day and you aren't allowed to wear trainers? At my Tesco I wore skate trainers and quiksilver shorts one time, got a sarcastic comment off one of the managers, but that was it.

This happened in my old store. Everyone thought the kid was a spoonfed tool.

He had no friends as a result and left after six months.

So you'll face a possible disciplinary instead? You're going to look like a tool if you do what you suggest.

Yes, surely non-uniform implies you don't have to wear the uniform?

I'll upgrade, hula skirt and flip-flops!
