Spotted this on another forum, thought it was interesting and shows how what we all believe to be fast is SO FAR off what an F1 driver thinks is fast!

F1 level of corner grip is insane, even the bikes are faster into the corner than the production cars but really slow going through corners like that..

That one car in the top vid at about 25s in seems to be going for it though!

F1 cars have for most of my life been simply the quickest way on earth to get around a race circuit that doesn't just have left or right hand bends!

holy moly

I guess those F1 cars are hitting 200 mph at the bottom of Eau Rouge, probably twice the speed of the cars in the first clip, the difference is incredible.

I was at Spa last year, it really is quite hilarious to see how fast the formula 1 cars get up Eau Rouge never mind compared to other formulae.

Even in the wet!

That video hasn't got enough FPS to keep up.

Those machines always amaze me, like everything you sort of "get used" to seeing them fly round tracks (Jerez is the only one i've seen me do their business), until you see other cars go round...

I find going back to a track makes you realise more than anything. Seeing it on tv doesnt give the right feeling compared to being there.
Having a camera pan and zoom for you takes away a lot of the speed, but being there and having to snap your neck sideways each time a car comes makes you realise

The difference is amazing, especially as the camera is a bit further back on the F1 cars so we are seeing them go a bit further but still way quicker, the direction change as they enter the turn looks immense too.
