There's very quick.....then there's F1!

playing them at the same time shows the F1 cars leaving the shot as the gt cars get to the apex of the first corner!

Been there.

Not actually that spot though, getting anywhere near Eau Rouge without a £400 ticket is impossible.

You can stand on the inside of Maggots at Silverstone though, which is almost as quick, and about 10 meters away and is general admission. OH MY GOD they are fast! And loud.

Spa still wins though.

I thought a few of the lightweights were fast in the first video, but they look glacial compared to the F1s.

I've never seen such an illustration of exactly how fast F1 cars are. New respect for the drivers from me!

Awesome.

First time I saw an F1 car in the flesh was at Monza - simply stunning to see one go full pelt with the naked eye - damn things actually shake your internal organs as they go passed too!

Wow that's a massive speed difference, any idea what speed an F1 car is actually doing through that section, I guess mere mortals are doing what half?

Bloody hell, really puts into perspective how fast F1 cars are, in the vid clips the F1 cars cover the ground in roughly half the time.

Up to 180mph I think.

Which, having walked up the track at Eau Rouge, is mental. And its now full throttle in an F1 car.

This shows exactly why it is retarded that Hamilton got charged in OZ for ''with intentionally losing control of a vehicle''.

They ( the cops) know nothing even remotely about being in control compared to people like him.

You know nothing about being in control. Performing a burnout on a public street is an order of magnitude apart from racing on a track. Lets keep this thread on track...

Love F1 :) bring on the new season1

The funny thing is that it isn't even a challenge anymore in F1, the complete corner is flatout and hardly a challenge anymore.
