***1.4 GHz dual-core Sony Ericsson Xperia Duo***

any idea of a release date, was looking to get a SGS2 but I could wait for this or the updated SGS2! that's if they are actually updating the spec..

I'm pretty sure they don't and won't for quite some time, which is why it isn't even remotely interesting in the slightest!

The possibly amazing camera and obscenely sized battery are where it's at!

If you've got slow BT broadband it matters :D

Still haven't found anything concrete yet but Three started upgrading in April/May and the SGS2 should see a "H+" symbol in those areas.
If your getting a phone that's going to last 2 years, getting one with a 21mbps modem would be preferable.

Earliest I can get an upgrade is Oct some time, so a Sept release would fall in nicely for me.

Not worried abou the screen size as i a lways feel biger is better and hopefully should help me typing with my fat sausage fingers.

The 12 MP camera does sound very interesting indeed. Any news on video shootuing quality / specs? Am assuming it would be 1080p straight out of the bag.

Keeping my beady eyes on this one. Was thinking Sensation / SGS2, but this looks like the phone for me

About the same for me; as I don't mind paying a little to break out of my contract early as it was an early upgrade last time round as my previous phone was failing.

Hopefully the rumoured specs for this are a sign that smartphone manufacturers are starting to seriously look at the battery issues that a lot of smartphones suffer, and take them seriously. Even with the boosted specs; the battery is almost twice the size of some of the other phones on the market, so this should do wonders for useable battery life if its not poorly made.

Loving the battery size but starting to think these screens are getting too big.

I though my GalaxyS was as big as I could handle and now with the S2 I am feeling this has to be the limit but now 4.5". Will it ever end!!!

Samsung have been on top recently, even destroying HTC imho but I would love to buy a Sony or Nokia once more if either get it right.

Sony? It's not that bad.

I think it is. I am lucky enough to spend a decent amount of time with most new major handset releases and I think putting all the Timescape and Mediascape doesn't do SE any favours at all.

I get that they want to distinguish their Android handset from the next but poor quality bloatware is not the way to do it.

They are still fascinated with plastering these devices with any technology logo they can: - 'Exmor R' sensor, 'Bravia engine' - its nonsensical. I have heard the SE reps telling our sales agents to talk about this stuff, and then when they do the customers just sound bemused!

I spend quite a lot of time with them too and I don't think it's that bad. It's certainly improved on the more recent phones.

It's no HTC Sense though. Or do you hate that too?
