£2k and a 42 day ban for 104MPH on a straight an empty motorway :/

Far too harsh - I guess you came across a bunch of Magistrates that probably drives Honda Jazz'.

Are these fines means tested?

Yea they asked my solicitor what my circumstances were.

Honest im frothing about this, the way they spoke to me, told my solicitor to be quiet when he objected to their tone the full bit.

Unbelievable. Common sense is something that seems to have deserted the CPS. I've watched idiots chased by police helicopters on TV get less of a punishment than that.
