Stop whining and take your lumps like a man. You broke the law, you got caught and you got punished. End of.

I think the issue is the totally disproportionate punitive punishment and the fact you get less for much more serious crimes. That and the childish **** stirring from some no mark trolls.

No mark trolls, excellent, I'm almost going to cancel my night out with the lads to watch this one..............then again!

Mmmmmmmmmm Beer

Unlucky! Why get a longer ban than people who have had less for going faster?!

I wonder who will get all that money.

£2K and a ban for 104? That is pretty harsh, unlucky :( Sounds like the magistrates were a bit up their own arse as well.

Totally disproportionate punishment:( To give a fine / ban near the top of the scale for a speed <10mph over what they'd sort at the roadside is absolutely ridiculous.

So at 3am this morning i had a bit of a mishap.

Not paying any attention to the Skoda thing, the only other bloody car on the motorway, i decide to give it a few beans on the way back from getting my son and his girl from Dover, and of course the Skoda is a copper in disguise.

20 years since my last points i cant believe it, and no doubt a quick ban for a month to boot.

Bahhh :(

I'm not criticizing, but didn't you notice him maintain a consistent distance from you?

I accidentally pulled in between a speeding motorist and an unmarked X5 on the motorway a few years ago. The motorist in front pulled away, I made progress myself, but noticed the BMW maintain distance behind me immediately. I pulled in to Lane 1, took my foot off the accelerator and slowed to just under 70. He pulled me, told me I'd got in the way of him catching the other chap and that I was to drive safe. He then wished me a good evening and left.

If I hadn't of noticed him when I did, I suspect my ass would have been grass :(

I don't see an issue with the sentence, its just a shame I don't think the OP will slow down because of it.

Why does he need to slow down? In certain conditions there's nothing wrong with exceeding 100 MPH on the motorway. It's hardly like 100 MPH is even that fast. I'll touch 120 MPH on occasions driving home to Northumberland, and cruise between 80 - 90 MPH.

The issue of the speed limit on the motorway seriously needs to be looked at. 70 MPH is a joke, given modern engines and brakes.

He was in an unmarked Skoda which i overtook :(

Honestly the only other vehicle in sight, behind or in front of me.
