An appropriate, if not swift enough, punishment. Great to see real means-tested justice done for illogical and frankly terrifying speeding.

Shame on you.

Im humbled by your words!

I shall now retire to the garden for some self whipping.

Incorrect.

Shop lifters steal for themselves or to sell stuff on to make money... for themselves.

The courts usually would order repayment via deduction of benefits, therefore mitigating any need for people to steal to pay fines.

Then they still steal to supplement the loss of 'income' from deducted benefits..

Well that was a liberty this monrning.

2k fine, 42 day ban, 50 quid costs and 15 quid victim surcharge. Plus 400 quid my solicitor.

Victim my arse, the only victim here is me.

3am NOTHING except me and a copper on the motorway in a 1 year old Porsche, what the **** was i going to crash into.

No driving offences for 20 years to boot, that really has ****ed me off, 3 green grocer ****ers. Magistrates my arse.

Ho hum, broke the law. 75 in a 70 you might consider unlucky. 104, deserve it.

You can do 70mph in a 1970s transit van fully laden with cross plys on it in the wet.

Or

104mph in a Porsche with excellent tyres on a dry empty motorway.

I know which I would rather be in, but the law is the law, so have to accept the OTT sentence.

A ridiculous fine and a overly long ban, considering the circumstance.

I was caught 5 years ago doing 65 in a 40 and got 28 days ban with a 250 pound fine, I see your offence as less reckless

Do you think it'll be the last time?

Most probably yes, but that would have been the case with a 10p fine, and no ban and without the stinking attitude of the 3 ****ers calling themself magistrate.

The point im putting accross is this, the motorway is empty, the car is in no danger at that speed and look what iv been whacked up with.

That is just utterly ridiculous and the punishment just does not fit the “crime” in this case. I am beginning to wonder if the magistrates had it in for you. I suppose the only bright side is that the ban is only for 42 days. I think if I was in your shoes I would want to go a shoot one(all) of them. Go and have a few drinks and let off some steam.

Yeah, least you don't need to worry about being the designated driver for a while.

Between your view on the dead kid and injured people in that other thread, and your obvious whole outlook on life, i really would love to meet you.

It would just be something to meet a latter day saint in the flesh, a perfect being such as yourself, i bet you hover not walk dont you.

I believe he's a magistrate.

Stop whining and take your lumps like a man. You broke the law, you got caught and you got punished. End of.

Yeah. Actually, I can imagine what those naughty words are and it's disgusting. I'm hoping that a seasoned moderator (possibly a part-time magistrate one would hope) will ban Mark for his petulance and his dirty sailor-mouth.
