exactly, and it's not like he can't afford it !... probably pays someone to take care of all that sort of stuff for him !
Not true, they can ban you for more than 56 days for speeding, this is just a guide.
Some insurers (such as direct line) will point blank refuse to insure anybody with a ban. Thankfully lots of others are more understanding and dont penalise you for much more than they would for 3 points.
when did you last check that? My best mate has a friend of the family who is a magistrate and told us the rules were recently revised to say that the maximum short term ban they could give was 56 days. They can give long term bans, but not purely for the offence of speeding, it would need to be Dangerous Driving and Carless Driving etc..
just noted this , rubbish, im with direct line with a DR ban , sure its expensive but was a lot better than some of the other insurers out there.
Sure it was a GTi? There is supposedly a R32 bait carAnother one to look out for is Golf GTi. Was quite surprised when I saw one all lit up with flashing lights
28 days is normal for this sort of speed. Its what i got.
Fine is means tested. £1500 is the max i only got fined £70 due to not being a massive earner and having a child + mortgage etc.. The form you get asked at the beginning, is the form they use to work out how much free income you have per month. They want to know what your outgoings are (mortgage, utilits bills etc..) if you have kids, and what your salary is etc.. Get this filled in quick so you can get seen first (or asap) i thought it didnt matter and had to wait till last![]()
Mate of mine recieved at £120 fine + fees and had his license removed completely for doing 112 in a 1.2 Clio. Was told that speed was wry dangerous and his car was at from ideal to be doing those sort of speeds. He was given 28 days to wait before applying for a provisional and had to retake everything including a 2 day course for dangerous drivers.
Caught someone at a bad time it would seem.
