1366 X58 Xeon 5650

Forgot to say, I'm running Windows 10 as it was mentioned a few posts above - everything working fine so far but I did have to download the Windows 8.1 drivers from the ASUS website as the drivers on the bundled CD are out of date

Good to hear hope you hit it. My 960 is about 4.5 which is why i have been reluctant to drop a xeon in case it was worse, Getting more tempted every day thou :)

Thanks buddy just need to get my head around the BIOS settings - the rampage seems to try and make things easier to overclock, but in turn makes them more complicated than just setting the base figures! Ran out of time so will spend more time on it this week

Temps are around 60c under full load on air
 
Mine is also a b1. Been testing some more tonight and mine happily boosts to 4.4ghz and seems stable so far. Will upload some pics in a min
 
Pics. Also does anyone know why fritz is only picking up 8 threads? All 6 cores are enabled hence why I've tested 6 cores, I have the latest version (12?)

Anyone have any ides on Fritz?

I'm just downloading Cinebench to try later but this is really bugging me, I can't find any details of others having the problem
 
What is the problem?
All other programs see 6 cores and 12 threads, so... Its a program problem, move on to a different program.

A lttle google shiws the program is only optimised for i7, there may be a partch or older revision that dose 12

So if people are moving to X99 what are they buying and how much more powerful is it? I've been super happy with my Xeon but it seems like a crazy expense selling up, no? Got a P6TD with only 2/6 working RAM slots.

Dude.. I sold off my xeon and 12GB and asus P6T SE mobo and the cost for me to upgrade to spec in sig was £345 not for the GTX 970 obviously :p

X58 mobo combo out
X99 mobo combo in

:p

Literally as money was coming in from MM it was going out for MM :D

I love MM :D

Thing is...for people on a budget...X58 is still smack ass...They are happy...you are happy and the upgrade cost small...

DO IT while you can amigo!
