Tempted to go with one for now and see what happens in between over the next 6 months - year from now and get 2 of the best cards then, not sure if i should splash out on 2 of these but the first option sounds good.
 
After some thought I just don't think I could settle with a 5870, I have to upgrade my rig within the next three weeks. So unless the 5870x2 comes out around that same time frame I am going to be buying the cheapest pci-e GPU I can find and using it in the otherwise epic build till the x2 is out. I don't want to settle for second best, plus footlong graphics cards do it for me.
 
When does the NDA runout? To make it easy (if cloak and dagger required) place the appropriate smiley by the below (as I may need to make a doctors appointment for my son to explain his lateness into school on 23rd :eek:)

Im sorry but this thread all though was a laugh at first, changed to something not good.

We have had several idiots on this thread, saying the launch date had changed, even one claiming to be from a OCUK staff member, and the mods or people who run company reply with smilies........seriously WTH is that about:mad:

If you got planks spreading false rumours, and the staff messing about with similies not saying the info posted was false, then that is shocking.

I hope you have banned the guy who said he rung OCUK with this new release date.

You even had one guy go spend £600 which he was going to spend on the new card, on a bloody HIFI, because he thought they had been put back for a new release date, due to messing about on this thread.

That is £600 that might have been spent on here. Lol shocking thread, im gobsmacked, i know was started as fun, but if you had squashed the fale info posted by one or two, the thread would still have been fun. But it aint.

Maybe too many words for this thread so i will end on a :eek::(:mad::rolleyes::confused::o:)
 
You are taking it too seriously. This was not meant to be an info or rumours thread..that's what the other huge thread is about.

I think that when Ocuk got their shipment of the new cards the staff just were excited and wanted to tease us a bit.

If they say the claims about the release date changing are wrong/pricing etc. then they would be confirming the 23rd amongst other things which would break the NDA.

Also, what's wrong with spending £600 on a HiFi?
 
So you are saying they are not allowed to say false rumours are false?
So someone can pop on here, say a OCUK staff told them the 5870 will be £350 and runs like a crab?

My point being, they could have at least said ignore the false stuff posted. If someone had stopped reading after that post about a OCUK staff member telling them date had changed, then they could have spent money elsewhere.

I.E like that guy did with HIFI, which inturn costs them buisness. I just found it astonishing. Im more annoyed at the planks who posted the false info.

They're having a laugh, it also gives the hardcore graphics card lovers some 'new rumours' so they can drop their trousers and slap it raw over how powerful its going to be.

When are these being released again? (awaits whords of angry people :D)

Of course not, they can't confirm/deny anything as it will break the NDA.

For example: The 5870 1gb will be priced between £300 and £400. If they say that's false we know it's under £300.
 
I know the staff are having a laugh, im not against that, i just found the whole smilie response to someone claiming they was told off a OCUK staff astonishing. It was obviously blatent lie.

Anyway forget it, said my point.:)
