Only the company that came first in a particular generation would benefit from higher than usual RRP upon release. If the second company brings out a card that outperforms the first company's one then they could also gouge for a while.

However, if the performance of second company's card can not compete with the first one then they will have to undercut on pricing and lose out more than if they had arrived first.

ebilcake unless you are running XP then you should have no trouble with Dual GPU as MS have split the DX API into 3 parts to take advantage of more tahn 1 gpu; on new cards this is supported in hardware too I believe but for current tech it is all in the DX11API - dual gpus should now be worth it
