Gibbo, will you be doing some benchmarks later in the week like you've done with some other launches?

Yes, but as before I don't have games. So just Heaven 2.5 as previous which from the feedback I have is not so fair as the NVIDIA card is not quite as good in Heaven but certainly has an edge in actual games. Should be able to do some 3D Mark as well I think.

All I can say it looks good, its quieter than 7970 which was quiet, it clocks to similar levels;) and it cost less. :)

Asus, OcUK, MSI, EVGA and Gigabyte are in stock and ready for launch. :)

Wonder how fast their true high end chip is if this is a mid range chip that they got lucky with.

Amd are gonna have to do some serious price slashing from the looks of things, around £350 mark possibly?

SKYMTL (from Hardware Canucks) said this,

Put it this way: if AMD doesn't have a different (non dual GPU) high end product out by year's end, they'll be in bucketloads of trouble.

Hmm. Could be another down sizing like their CPU sector.

I don't think they will disappear, but it seems as time rolls by they just lack the ability to wee with the big boys.

So how much are these going to be?

On an unrelated note Toms Hardware just leaked some benches for a few minutes before they was taken down.

It all looks good, just got to wait on pricing now..
